Can you use mint mobile traveling to Canada international roaming?

mint mobile international roaming in Canada has been a terrible experience. Don't count on it. Choose other option. I would just buy one month of google FI sim card for travel.

That's disappointing. Last time I drove to Canada, I had to go old school and follow road signs to Montreal and then look for somewhere with WiFi, to figure out how to get where I needed to go!!

I was in an area north of Parry Sound, Ontario, and was impressed with cell service in the remote islands of Georgian Bay. Unfortunately, even small amounts of data use will cost you an arm and a leg. I give it a solid 10 for cell coverage in this region and a 1.5 in the value for data use.

google maps (app) lets you download the city/area to your phone, so you don't have to use much data when navigating in canada. I'm in Seattle and did this when visiting vancouver BC.

international roaming is very important for me, because Im moving between mexico and USA two or three times per week

I have question. So I’m thinking of getting mint. Can you just put a SIM card in or esim and be good to go for where ever your going? I ask this because I cannot find it anywhere if mint locks your phone up so you can’t use a different carrier. I have an unlocked phone. Seems they can’t answer the question at mine.

i believe Mint mobile is for USA. outside of USA will be international roaming. I don't believe they lock your phone once you use mint mobile. I think switch to a different sim card and you can use other company service.

Yep you can switch whenever (just you’d probably want to finish using the rest of the service you have left first!)

@@MccTube thanks… I was thinking this for travel so when I’m back in USA I can use the mint sim… when out of the country use different sim. The ability to switch out sims with no problems from mint.

International roaming is super expensive!
They need to make it cheaper.
