He never harmed China by his videos. They were all truthful portrayal of China, both good and bad. Maybe he is right in thinking that there are overly sensitive Chinese persons who want to hear praises only, and who sometimes even mistakes a compliment as a criticism. What a pity!
@媽媽說名字不要取的太長我問為什麼 Shut up, you stupid. We Chinese do not need you to like it. The things that you anti-Chinese foreigners comment on in the video produced by this blogger are more demonizing China and insulting China. I have seen enough. Since China is really so evil, why do foreigners living in China not go back to their own country, must they feel distressed in China? The psychology of masochism, is it? Haha. These losers, eat Chinese food, drink Chinese water, play with Chinese immature young girls, and then fucking to make some one-sided subjective videos for you to insult and smash. Fuck these rubbish. What qualifications do they have for discussing China? They should go back to their original shit and expose those who don't dare to go out at night, sucking marijuana and keep saying: "I need more freedom! God bless me tomorrow I can continue to live. "The idiot. Haha, all the bad things in China can be fucking and related to the Communist Party? ! To be honest, you are not just hating the Communist Party. The Soviet Union was disintegrated. Does the West forgive Russia? Answer: No. The motives of the West are simple. They don't want to see the developing and growing countries grow and develop so that they can better exploit other countries to serve them. Of course, this does not mean that I hate foreigners who are honest and friendly in China. In addition, there is no perfect country in the world. How do you evaluate your country?

We are more liberal than Americans, but that does not mean we like open borders, immigration or communists. We have one of the most closed immigration systems in the EU if not the world, and we would like to keep it that way, only the far left parties don't like that. The rest of the parties just agreed to open up a immigration station in Africa. Meaning if you come here illegally, we will send you down there until your application goes through or you denied. The wall idea would actually have passed here, if not for the environmental problems and border shopping we do in Germany.
Just back after a month in Nanjing, staying with my soul family in China, and encouraged by all the great vids from serpentza and c-miik. Going back next month for a year this time. China is the future now, and the past made visible. I fell head over heels in love with it.
China is really beautiful in many ways, very strange though, at least it is to me. I'd love to go on vacation for like a month there and see as many historical artifacts and natural wonders China has in store, don't think I could ever live there though. Still though, even though I may not want to live in China ever, your videos are quite interesting. It's a cool window into a pretty different culture. So, thanks for doing what you do.
+Epilepsy Channel Sure, China has his ugly sides, but pretty much every country has those. That's however no reason to say that only in videos or pictures china looks beautiful, there are still plenty great places to visit in China and we should not neglect that fact.
Start planning for it. Find out what China is all about. Watch documentaries, read about different places on the net and eventually you will have a more clear picture what to see and that might not allways be what you expect. From that you will get a broader perspective and find things you didnät know existed. There are more then the Great wall to see yo know, even if it can be a fantstic place to visit too.
You should go to Japan instead. Less or no scamming foreigners meanwhile in China most people think you're filthy rich and try to pickpocket you, try to take advantage of you. In Japan things have better contrast color meanwhile in China it's overall grayish, kinda depressing. Most importantly, Japan is much cleaner and tidy.
Please do the martial arts episode soon, can't wait! As a long time subscriber, I demand you take off your sunglasses in slow motion at the end of every video :D
Another thing I'd like to comment on is this is actually very interesting phenomenon in modem China, you should have some depth of what social problems behind the story instead of an eye-catching headline, you'll find out it's much less then commercial or about money, rather it is more about the agonies of Chinese dads moms over their unmarried, untraditional children in an ever fast pase society.
What you see happening here are the results after nature has played its part and the realities of having to live and function in an organized society become apparent.
I used to feel sad for folks that were forced into pre-arranged marriages until I got older and realized that in many cases their marriages worked out better than in chosen ones.
Have to say what I like a lot about this channel is the extra effort that goes into putting detail into the description box. That and the excellent content, humour and production quality. Watched the old KDX video last night where you ride and curse on your very wet journey.. couldn't help but laugh in places, sorry :) no fun being caught in torrential rain on a bike tho

Hahaha she doesn’t need to get frustrated with her English. Us Americans in and around Chicago are horrible at it even though that is the only language we speak lol
Winston, nice to see you in this video with your dear wife. A positive video, for a nice change. Here, in this video, the people in Shenzhen China are easy-going and carefree when they are in the park with their families.
Is is possible that I can meet Wing at one of these parks? I'm soon going to move out of my Mother's basement, and am just getting promoted to burger flipper at Burger King, so I'm basically a catch
Awesomeness. I've been curious about the nature parks in Shenzhen. How are the mountain parks western Guangdong? Just got back from a Mon, Tues (not crowded) at Xiqiao in Foshan. Worth a visit!
where are you from? dont they have family values where you live? these values are usually passed on from one generation to the next. if standards have declined or no longer exist it is the fault of the parent or grandparents. you look old enough to be either. maybe you failed somewhere?
Winston you are possibly the luckiest man i've seen, to have a girl that has been with you a while and still acts like that is amazing. Definitely one to hold onto.
I think wife park is a good idea. I would have liked it if my mom had interviewed the mother of the girl I was going to date and make sure she is from a good family. Obviously China has many income levels so parents don't want their son or daughter to marry into a family of hard up, money hungry scammers.
My wife enjoyed Qi Gong in the biggest park in Wuhan. The most popular activities were ballroom dancing (on concrete!) and the choir, but there were dozens of other groups every morning. I enjoyed walking around and observing.
I've recently started watching your channel and it's really interesting. I don't get why so many comments say you hate China when you clearly don't. Bringing the spotlight to the less than great things doesn't mean you hate a place. I love where I live (but want to travel in the future) but I could point out some of the negatives without meaning it's all negative. Your videos show the other side and that's awesome.
Thank you for all the great videos. I have always wondered what it was like to live there. I want to thank your wife too. Love to listen to her talk. She adds a lot of interest to the videos she is in. Keep up the good work and I will keep watching.
lol when I was living in ShenZhen there was nothing...our nick name for it was Hell's End. Development started with a nice amusement park that was put in just as we left.
Beautiful park to say the least . Interesting about the "wife market" there as well. I am glad you went with Sasha .. I believe you would have not been able to leave "wife market" without starting a riot of the grandparents wanting you to have their granddaughter . STAY AWESOME Winston Sasha can not wait for the next video from the two of you 😉
It‘s not “wife market”,It’s marriage market they also “selling” male. The old people is the parents who be written on the paper. Some of their kids is too busy some of them dont want to get marry.parents worried about their future.most of them dont know how to use smartphone.they are doing this behind their kid's back.and as you know the result usually can‘t be good .after all failure they still keep trying.this market maybe very strange but start with love.
As a wesrterner i think its endearing and a little odd obviously to me culturally .Its more endearing though our culture is so anti communal anything that it just seems foreign to think while you are working your parents are trying to find you a quality wife/husband. Absolutely nothing wrong with it i think its nice in a way actually .
@ 4:05 is there also a place in the park where the grannies are up for grabs? ;) Thanks for including the Kung-fu btw, I could watch that stuff for days!
Amazing! I have witnessed all of this in China (Beijing, Shanghai) - also including walking/running backwards. I admire their group activities like exercising or dancing. Almost impossible in Europe where everybody is kind of ashamed to do it in public. Also I wonder if through these marriage ads, a foreignor can find a spouse, too? And their vending machines and small shops are so advanced in terms of payment methods. On the other hand, Wechat customer service is unreachable if you need anything.
All Chinese parks are basically the same summer bigger than the other ones depending on which city you’re in Shanghai has peoples spark which is in the middle of people square. Hangzhou has a very large park at Westlake “Xi Hu”. Basically you walk around the westlake, but the worst time to go there is during a holiday summer it’s not too bad but the best time weatherwise is in the spring time. The larger parks are usually famous for wedding photos which the way the Chinese do wedding photos one month two months three months or five months before the wedding not after the wedding
It's not the same.. they are just advertising their children they're not selling them for money. And the children themselves are never 'put on view' in person, unlike the greek bride bazaar.
Anatidaephobia People weren't actually selling brides in the Greek bride bazaar. It was similar to the Chinese one. The way you are explaining it makes it seem like slave trade.
Mr30friends Well, it’s not just all papers and posters in the Greek one - the brides are there in person. While the Chinese one is more like newspaper classifieds, as you can see, the daughters themselves are not present. There no financial transactions or exchanges involved or discussed in these Chinese places either.
I hardly comment but wanted to point out something that was quite true in China when I went on tour there as a classical musician. There is no toilet paper in public restrooms in parks (in a lot o places for that matter).
BULLSHIT! they are not selling wives or their sons or daughters, it is match making for their children, in China specially HANs they only allow to have one child, they love their only child and hoping they should get marriage when they supposed to when they come to the right age. And if the son or daughter still not seeing anyone, the parent will try to get involve and here you have the parents in the park posing their son or daughter bio, its a match making like your friends finder online. Besides its free and genuine rather then many match making agency(they cost you a lot and there are many scam agency too)
i made the mistake of going to a mountain top park, i had no clue what i was in for. gangs of girls surrounded me. it was fun, kind of, they are surprisingly aggressive but civil while they all compete for my attention.
Nice that there isn't any feces on the ground from pets or kids. Wondering if you would do me a favour and post my profile in the Wife/Husband market in the park. LOL joking.
I saw notice boards for parents trying to marry off their daughters in the peoples park, Chengdu a few weeks ago. I didn't think they were 'selling' their daughters, just concerned their daughters weren't married.
Warren Lauzon We do have a lot of online dating websites in mainland,China, and young people are really active in those websites. But this kind of park is usually for those retired parents wanting to find a good date for their children, because they don't really trust people on the internet, and in these parks you can take a real look at the man/woman which could be a part of your family in the future. You know,it's no harm to know more.
0:25 These are some of the bits that make me love this channel, the Easter eggs he puts in his videos are just subtle and hilarious. See how the guy is synced with the music? That’s on purpose and it’s funny af
I like Mao Feng park in Shaoguan. Not many people, takes a good 30 minutes to climb that mountain. Has a lot of lookout areas. I did a lot of photo shoots with my models up there.
Jeez Winston, you're a lucky man! What's funny is that you can tell that you've both picked up some cues from each other in the way you both talk like when you said 'yeah, yea' and she repeated it just like you at about 3:13.
I would love to meet an Asian woman someday. Chinese from Japan it doesn't matter to me. I have a friend that has a Chinese wife and I find her very interesting for sure. Definitely better than an American women without a doubt..
I am from England , have a Thai wife and work in China. For sure Asian girls are beautiful but you must still connect at a deeper level. I never planned on a Thai wife, I met her whilst working there and over the 6 months there connected strongly and we have been together for 7 years. The cultural differences will keep things exciting / different / out of the mundane for many many years, you just have to be patient with each other if translation / miscommunication issues occur. All I can say is do it, Asia has much to offer. Good luck. ;-)
If you go to Shenzhen you really need to visit Lian Hua Shan (Lotus Flower Mountain) park. And there are several other parks that are also very nice. I lived in Long Gang district for about 3 months, near a park called Long Cheng. There are also several small to medium sized mountains near or in the boundaries of SZ. These are hills in the 2000 to 3000 meter range. And in Hong Kong, very near, there are also several very interesting places if you like hiking. To find them, the search engine to use is Bing, since Google is not available in China. Try to go on a non-holiday weekday when everybody is at work. Then you will have a lot of space in the park. Weekends and holidays are going to be very crowded. Also, be ready for many steps if it's a mountain. The mountains tend to be very steep, so they tend to put steps instead of ramps. Personally, this hurts my knees after a couple hours. Take a walking stick, at least that helps me. Rubber tip for the brick pathways.
The urbanization of the heavily populated areas makes it harder and harder to preserve green space. I went to a park in Seoul S. Korea that was barely .8 km (half a mile) square and the people I knew drove for 30 minutes to get there and really treasured it and were proud of their green space, they were showing it off to me. Being from Canada, I didn't appreciate the value of a space like this in the heart of such a huge urban center.
Hey Winston, Welcome to another comment ! This one is good as to me it is somewhat hilarious to me on that wife seeking part and then this is one where seems like for the first time Sasha is doing the serious talking and of course, camera works wise this one got interestings angle and movements, nice and informative.
I agree with you and your wife about parks. :) This year my wife and I went with friends to a thousand year old temple on a hill that sits 1900 meters. It was pretty much a straight up the mountain climb...all stairs. We got to 1300 meters and decided the 1900 temple would have to wait for another day. What did see, and you should show this in one of your videos is we saw an 80 year grandma carrying her 2 year old grand kid up to the 1300 meter mark. In in the west it would be rare for us to see. I saw a lot of Chinese older folks walking the great wall last year. If you have done the great wall showing people what it's really like would be another great video...its nothing like what people see in the pictures. I know I have walked it. :)
they do similar in Italy where parents and their marriageable children will promenade piazzas or roads in the hopes that someone suitable will come by.
Its lovely to see families going out with their children to the parks i'm australian it's very rare you find any families ever going to parks these days most are so caught up with fb and other shit on their phones its kind of sad really
Hey I was in HK at the northern new territories last week. There was a look out near the border that had a skyline of Shenzhen which reminded me of ur awesome videos.
that marriage market i think it happens in almost every major city in china public park, same thing happen in shanghai people's park every weekend there will be a huge grandma, grandpa 'marketing' their grandson/granddaughter to find their partners. even they had special section for foreigners or chinese born in foreign country, once i saw one ads stated that he worked in silicon valley making 200k USD / year (age late 30) and still difficult finding a wife. kinda depressing and interesting as well
Grew up in small town Canada, lived in Japan, China and Philippines for work. In Canada, if I want peace, quiet and solitude I went outside. In Asia I had to go inside. There are always crowds of people outside no matter where you go.
I enjoyed the parks in China too. You concetrate on only one thing, Usually there was also kung fu, some kind of sword fighting thing, badmlinton, card players, chess players,, karaoke and buskers and lots of dancing.

Shut up, you stupid.
I like how you included Sasha in a more prominent role this time. Great video :)
You have the cutest wife. :) :) congratulations bro.
She looks like a Hollywood actress. When he said he married someone who was divorced I imagined the usual 40-50 year old MILF type you see on dating sites. She totally blew me away!
Keep this nice lady away from trump supporters if you don't want to experience racism in US.....
@@frugalgardener7921 liberals are the true racist... they are the only ones ever focusing on race. I’m married to a lady from China and I am a gun owning, Trump supporting, Militia card carrying, Christian... oh, I also do volunteer work to help build up disadvantaged neighborhoods... but hey, that probably completely blows your views out of the water doesn’t it?
@@rileyen4608 Would add I have meet all kinds of Americans, and the most hostile have actually been "very progressive" Americans if you don't agree with them. And I use the "very progressive" as a Danish person by the way, don't know why they keep thinking we are further left than them, we really ain't.
6:36 is that granny advertising her daughter/grandaughter with a pic on a stick? oml HAHA
Chinese parks are some of the best places for people watching. I love watching senior citizens do all kinds of ridiculous dances 广场舞.
Hi there Shar! Are you available for long distance dating? I have WeChat too.
Happens in my country too in Ireland. Every Sunday they gather and dance.
Adamfromky Many artifacts are fake, badly maintained or badly renovated or rebuilt, most of them were destroyed in the first place.
You def need at least a month to go on vacation there. Anything less and its simply maddening esp if its your first time there.
This is one of the best intros I have seen to your show because you gathered b roll to the topic of what you are discussing. Keep up the good work.
I love Sasha in your videos!
Wow, that video was enjoyable/fun. Good bits of humour, info, and chinese perspective. That intro with the man dancing to your music was cool.
Please do the martial arts episode soon, can't wait!
As a long time subscriber, I demand you take off your sunglasses in slow motion at the end of every video :D
I like how your wife appears to be opening up more in front of the camera and also contributing more dialog. It's nice!
Christmas cakes are a universal problem once a country reaches a certain level of development.
Do you and the wife usually converse with each other in English or Mandarin?
A bit of both
And that's that
what language do you argue in?
@@EpicBunty He in English, she in Mandarin.
@@serpentza And your wife is beautifull and a beautifull person your a luck man to have her mate
Interesting video, as always. It's awesome to see Sasha getting more involved with your videos. Let her know most of us here think her english is excellent.
Winston, so much better without a suit. It really seems to connect more here and your wife looks really cute with the NY baseball cap.
Hi Great to watch and learn from your many videos. May the rain fall around you and the sunshine open you and your wife.
Cheers

Hahaha she doesn’t need to get frustrated with her English. Us Americans in and around Chicago are horrible at it even though that is the only language we speak lol
Winston, nice to see you in this video with your dear wife. A positive video, for a nice change. Here, in this video, the people in Shenzhen China are easy-going and carefree when they are in the park with their families.
Is is possible that I can meet Wing at one of these parks? I'm soon going to move out of my Mother's basement, and am just getting promoted to burger flipper at Burger King, so I'm basically a catch
In your dream
Yes, every single night
ASloaneRanger wing lives in Hong Kong not mainland sorry bro
ASloaneRanger With so much going for you, hard to believe you are still single.
Ben - What's the problem, no distance is an issue for me to meet my love
Sasha is awesome, she helps your videos a lot....makes them better than they already are...
This is so cute. Parents always trying to find spouses for their kids, but this is to a new level then what I am used to!
Awesomeness. I've been curious about the nature parks in Shenzhen. How are the mountain parks western Guangdong? Just got back from a Mon, Tues (not crowded) at Xiqiao in Foshan. Worth a visit!
Asian people are Awesome... They are so proud of who they are and they should be. Westerners should learn family values from them...
Who is they?
definitely not a sweeping statement about half the woorld population that....
where are you from? dont they have family values where you live? these values are usually passed on from one generation to the next. if standards have declined or no longer exist it is the fault of the parent or grandparents. you look old enough to be either. maybe you failed somewhere?
@@fonkyman hahaha
Really want to know, why don't they have pictures if they want to really up-sell their daughters?
If their daughters were good looking enough they wouldn't come to a place like this
Serpentza, I've been watching you for a few years now and this production quality is amazing! Love the new camera and editing
Lovely content! Keep it up!
Agree
I've recently started watching your channel and it's really interesting. I don't get why so many comments say you hate China when you clearly don't. Bringing the spotlight to the less than great things doesn't mean you hate a place. I love where I live (but want to travel in the future) but I could point out some of the negatives without meaning it's all negative. Your videos show the other side and that's awesome.
thanks for another interesting video winston. u and cmilk make my shitty days in canada seem a bit better.
and your amazinh wife definitely needa her own channel.
matt terrain - what do you mean? Canada is the best country in the world. There is nothing shitty about it (other than the current economy).
He didn't say shitty Canada, but his shitty days in Canada. That's a difference.
Pot Ate Toe No country is perfect. Give my a country and I'll show you their dark side 😈
7 months ago was summer! Would have been perfect to go out and bond with the local Canadians!
You can go to Wutong mountain or Xiao Wutong mountain in Shenzhen, it's not so crowded there, and long, challenging hikes are possible.
Great moves Serpentza. Keep it up! Proud of you.
KNAWLEDGE !
I'm a new sub, and I'm addicted! Keep up the good work Winston! Best wishes from California
8:55 damn you have the cutest wife!
You both appear relaxed and happy in this video...I can feel the love between you two :)
It takes a lot of courage for someone to speak a foreign language on camera. Sasha is definitely getting better with English. Nice NY hat btw!
Thank you for all the great videos. I have always wondered what it was like to live there. I want to thank your wife too. Love to listen to her talk. She adds a lot of interest to the videos she is in. Keep up the good work and I will keep watching.
Sashas english has nicely improved.
lol when I was living in ShenZhen there was nothing...our nick name for it was Hell's End.
I noticed that they have "bottle palms" so it's pretty tropical there (My bottle palm looks a little sad here in San Diego). It must be a bit humid.
Your wife is so pretty and seems to be a very sweet lady.
The larger parks are usually famous for wedding photos which the way the Chinese do wedding photos one month two months three months or five months before the wedding not after the wedding
bride bazaar , we had this in greece
αλήθεια; αναφέρεσαι στα προξενιά ; xD
νύφοπάζαρο !
Besides its free and genuine rather then many match making agency(they cost you a lot and there are many scam agency too)
JOSEPH STALIN Are you another 50 can’t commenter? GTFO brah
Craigslist have their personal section.
i made the mistake of going to a mountain top park, i had no clue what i was in for. gangs of girls surrounded me. it was fun, kind of, they are surprisingly aggressive but civil while they all compete for my attention.
So its like a place to arrange marriages?
I can't speak for China mainland, but in HK and Taiwan, the online dating sites are quite active.
ElementEvil matchmaking for dates, some actually appreciate the effort because they feel they don't have enough time to find a partner.
Love your videos. I lived in S Korea for 10 yrs ESL teacher. (2003-2013) wish I had seen them before I visited China! Keep up the great work!!
Lots of evil aunties and uncles there. lol

These are some of the bits that make me love this channel, the Easter eggs he puts in his videos are just subtle and hilarious. See how the guy is synced with the music? That’s on purpose and it’s funny af
I love the vending mahcines in china...
I like Mao Feng park in Shaoguan. Not many people, takes a good 30 minutes to climb that mountain. Has a lot of lookout areas. I did a lot of photo shoots with my models up there.
is polygamy ok in China?
If you can afford it
It may get you in all kinds of trouble but if you like challenges in life, go ahead :)
if you don't get caught, sure
No unless the wife is a minority definitely NOT Han.
Minority are NOT ok. Only in one tribe in the remote hilly area is ok.
I'm chinese , tell you chinese women and JP's women are so different, you will know.
Without a doubt? Huh?
rofl yellow fever much, you come off as a creeper.
Good luck. ;-)
Yes, Japanese women don't spit and wash hands regularly.
Both of you are Gorgeous..
i Agree ♥♥♥
I'm a bit late to the party but it almost felt like I went to the park for the day with you two. Thanks for letting me tag along :D
if you want a nice walk in nature got to shenzhen central park, and walk all the way down by the small mountains. its lovely.
that was great having Sasha on the channel with you. Maybe she and ViVi can do a colab and be the jelly to you and cmilks peanut butter?
Serpenza, I said it before. Your wife has some very cute emotes. 8:54. I am happy for you and her. Thanks for your videos. I love to see China.
What a nice slice of life video walking around and taking it easy. Please stay safe.
Sasha, your english is very good! and by the way, you are both very beautiful persons. Thanks for the video. May happiness and love always be with you
they do similar in Italy where parents and their marriageable children will promenade piazzas or roads in the hopes that someone suitable will come by.
3:29 your music synchronized so well with their dancing. I loved this!
Wow Sasha looks much happier in this video. Not even just a bit, but a lot.
that marriage market i think it happens in almost every major city in china public park, same thing happen in shanghai people's park every weekend there will be a huge grandma, grandpa 'marketing' their grandson/granddaughter to find their partners. even they had special section for foreigners or chinese born in foreign country, once i saw one ads stated that he worked in silicon valley making 200k USD / year (age late 30) and still difficult finding a wife. kinda depressing and interesting as well
Grew up in small town Canada, lived in Japan, China and Philippines for work. In Canada, if I want peace, quiet and solitude I went outside. In Asia I had to go inside. There are always crowds of people outside no matter where you go.
I enjoyed the parks in China too. You concetrate on only one thing, Usually there was also kung fu, some kind of sword fighting thing, badmlinton, card players, chess players,, karaoke and buskers and lots of dancing.
go to richujuchang which is a part of shenzhen bay park. u can have less crowded people and enjoy.
The editing was really funny in this one. Great job!
