I was hoping you would speak to the future of the highway through the pass. It needs to be 4-laned, or at a minimum have truck climbing lanes. So much driver frustration is caused by those slow trucks

The cost and the environmental impact on a National Park would make that close to zero possibility. Blasting and mowing down nature for you isn't really a priority. Entitled people have to learn to slow down, relax and enjoy the scenery. You will only be a few minutes later than you hoped. Plenty of places outside the parks to get around a truck and carry on with the 130 km/hr race to where you need to go. I drive this road many times a year for the last 35. It's makes a minor difference to wait out behind a truck and pass when you get the chance.
