      Thank you! I should have bought several when Trevor was alive, he charged less than. £40 for a hand made knife 😲

    I have a Leatherman Wave+ multitool. One hand opening it is a doddle once you've broken it in. Very smooth, sweet opening

      Sadly the Wave has a locking blade so is considered a fixed blade from a legal perspective

      @@EnglishCountryLife This is what I don't understand. I bought my Wave+ from Millets here in the UK a couple of months ago. Totally legal to buy and carry if you have a good reason, camping etc. What am I missing? Moved back to the UK after 15 years away. It has been a cultural shock coming back, we have turned into a real nanny state.

      @@RussellChapman99 In effect as you say for a locking blade you have to be able to prove why you need it. For a sub 3" slip joint you don't need a reason. Its based on case law rather than legislation. The relevant law is S139a if the Criminal justice act

    Very nice ideal! I've a couple of very "sticky" bladed little knives which need this. All your videos are most excellent.

    Now that is good. Love it. I'll have to look those up

    Love it! I have my grandfather's pocket knife and it is difficult for a city gal to open easily. I didn't know about this adaptation but plan to purchase one for it. I am glad I will finally be able to use my granddad's pocket knife in real life!

    Pretty cool. I could actually use one of those myself.

      They are very handy. Best suited to a single bladed knife really

    Can you carry a locking blade on your own property?

    • @EnglishCountryLife
      @EnglishCountryLife  3 года назад

      On your own property you can carry anything that's legal to own. I often have a fixed blade on my belt here when pruning & tying in. Hugh

    Interesting. But it looks like it might interfere with the action of opening the second blade. I certainly couldn't put it on a Swiss army knife, the blades are much too crowded.

    • @EnglishCountryLife

      That's an excellent point Alan. The stud is certainly only suitable for a single bladed knife. The bar is slimmer but would foul a second blade if close.

      It is possible that filing down the side of the bar that faces the secondary blade would resolve the issue.
