  • The Velar is one of the most stylish SUVs from Land Rover and for 2021 there are some updates. On the outside you will find a unique grill, front fascia, 22in wheels, and rear bumper. On thinside you will be greeted to an all new infotainment system, two-tone leather interior and tons of space. Under the hood is a 3.0L turbocharged 6-cylinder producing 395HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2021 Range Rover Velar a luxury sport SUV worth the price?

    Although this car isn't perfect, my wife loves hers. Black on black on black just like the one you are reviewing but with a black interior too. @@Delitewon the reliability isn't the greatest overall. The Velar tends to have the fans at maximum speed eventhough it isn't hot. You can hear the car from around the corner. That is how loud it gets. It is a known issue so the dealership "fixed it" with an update. The fix is known to last only several months and the permanent solution is to replace the water pump. At times, the entertainment screen is blank and it doesn't turn on until I restart the vehicle. Other than that, it is flawless lol. Those issues does not deter us from enjoying the vehicle and it is simply a beauty.

      Thanks for sharing that with me. I am contemplating purchasing a Sport HSE package, but my son-in-law, who is a car dealer is talking me out of it. He said they are plagued with multiple problems. I decided to check and it appears like every year there’s some problem with the Range Rovers.
      I like it’s stylish appearance. The price tag is a tad of a deterrent for me, however, the biggest breaker for me is it’s reliability.

      That’s not what happened with TFL. There was a part needed for the first one and they offered TFL and upgraded alternative. The second vehicle was damaged by the workshop before the delivery and then they handed over the 3rd vehicle.
      None of their vehicles have broken down. People mistakenly think that LR products have mechanical problems. The issues are usually with electrical gremlins - the same as TFL. But they haven’t been left stranded somewhere.

      Bought a 2020 Velar R-Dynamic HSE P380. 380 HP and 0-60 in 4.9 to 5.0 seconds. MSRP was 87K and paid 69K with 4200 miles lease return 8 months old at the time. Owned it for 1 year and not one issue. Mine is same black color and same 22 inch wheels but mine has red vents on hood, red front end vents and red on tailgate and badge delete meaning no green Land Rover or velar badging. Very unique and all black leather inside. Was worried regarding reliability but so far been excellent. Feel like I got a good deal on it. Have 2.5 years left on warranty.

    Great in depth review. I really liked it & was considering it before I got the SQ5 & now E Tron.

    • @fanman71
      @fanman71 3 года назад

      @sparsh mudgil Not really, the Q8/SQ8 are bigger & have the sport back. The Velar is more of a traditional SUV shape & their compact SUV. It goes up against the Q5/SQ5 in the Audi lineup. The Q7/Q8 is somewhere akin to the RR Sport & RR model.

    • @fanman71
      @fanman71 3 года назад

      @sparsh mudgil No, it's not.
      Range Rover Velar : Overall Length = 188.9", Wheelbase = 113.1". More importantly Rear Headroom = 38," Rear legroom = 37.2"
      Audi Q8 : Overall Length = 196.6", Wheelbase = 117.9". Rear Headroom = 38.1", Rear Legroom = 40.2"

    • @fanman71
      @fanman71 3 года назад

      @sparsh mudgil That's their sub compact. The Audi Q3 = RR EVOQ. The Q5/SQ5 = Velar, RR Sport is similar in size for the occupants for the Q8/SQ8 & the RR = Q7/SQ7.

    Land Rover loves them 12 v outlets. In the front, the 12 v should be under the cover, every vehicle has the front cup holders side by side, having that 12 v looks out of place.

  • @StevinHabba

    The center console does cover the cup holders you just have to push the arm wrests forward (fyi) because you zonk this in the video but likely didn’t know about this feature.

    I personally wouldn’t care if the back of the seat is plastic, imagine it leather than having kids, gonna see a nasty opening meanwhile plastic is more durable and easy to clean. That what I think it was made that way and my preference. Everyone has a different taste.
    I wouldn’t zonk that tbh
