Why do you need 450 steps to make a box? is this why CAD guys need $500,000 a year? To work with software so bloated you need 450+ steps to make a simple box?

I think there were fewer steps in this guide and it can definitely be done much faster. This is just an example to show different geometry creation tools in FreeCAD in a relatively short time. The goal was not to create the box as quickly as possible.

You mentioned the importance of overlapping the divider stage with the box (3:38), which is why it is overlapped on both sides. However, the bottom of the divider abuts the bottom of the box rather than overlapping it (4:34). Is this intentional?

I’ve got an American carpenter plan to make beehives, but of course in American customs, can I enter this and make to automatic metric sizes ?

I usually use the latest stable version available at the time of recording the tutorial. In this case, it's version 0.21.1.

Comming from Autodesk Inventor, may I ask ist it possible in FreeCAD to model "Multibodys" Parts?
So in your Box example, all walls (Sides) can be published/saved to an individual Part file and will be assembled to an Assembly file too?

Yes. You can try "part" workbench in freeCAD.
