My favorite parts of this cover are 1)The beginning of the chorus when the signer screams "Because:..."; that's really cool, and 2) the "umbrella, ella, ella..." parts. The singer has a strange vibrato during the verses. Also, that guitarist (the one with no shirt) is a beast.

The best covers are those that do homage to the original by elevating it to a higher form, while opening the song up to a new audience who may not have appreciated it in an earlier version. While some consider this a cop-out to originality, I do appreciate when artists/bands put real effort on a remake. Even if nothing changes, I've heard remakes where the later band sounds like they cared more about the song than the original artist. Kudos to those who remake and remix with heart and soul.

Hahah. This is awesome. I can't take it too seriously, since it's a funny idea - singing "Umbrella" like it's a hardcore rock song. I love the drums here. Very nice. And the singer can definitely sing. He's got an awesome voice.
