On Ferguson, he also has a size and structure which will make his leg joints vulnerable to injury on the turn. I remember when Steven Gerrard first appeared at right back for Liverpool the medical team said he hasn't finished growing yet and it is important to focus and be patient with his development. I also remember Dean Ashton at West Ham who had a similar talent to Ferguson and similar physique. He picked up recurring injuries and had to retire. Strikers are prone to cruciate injuries like Alan Shearer Many other greats were never the same after a serious injuries. Give Fergy time.

Back to the curse of the injuries yet again! Never known a season like it! 😞
Hopefully Pedro comes back for Roma away next week?

When players waste time and stay down is that it disrupts the flow of the game, rather than the time itself.

Great breakdown of the game fella's. Think Ryan was spot on regarding the silence after Everton scored, it wasn't so much shock just a big sigh of frustration, all that possession and very little threat from us. Which is also why I don't get so frustrated with the opposition timewasting, that's what I see Brighton as possibly doing when Dunk is improving on his top ten completed passing stats. So many of our attacks ended up in the cul de sac which was in the centre of the pitch just outside the penalty box. We seemed to have very few crosses into the box from deep wing positions, which is hard to understand on the now rare occasion that Ferguson gets a start. Everton were lucky to score but we didn't get anything more than we deserved with a rescued point at the end.
Also have to partly agree with your Irish mate. When Ferguson was scoring we were attacking down the wings and putting crosses into the box for him to attack, this game we attacked down the middle and Ferguson lost any space around him and it was all too compact to make any runs. Same with Mitoma in some ways, his best games early where when he was left on his own on the wing without any nearby Brighton players, no overlaps from Estupinian crowding him and Mitoma only had to concentrate on skinning the opposition. Now he makes far fewer runs and takes on players less and I think it's partly because de Zerbi has changed things, encouraging more overlaps just stifles Mitoma, trying to change him into a striker and pushing him more central isn't as effective.
Despite my probably negative view of the game overall, it was a great effort physically and mentally by the team to get the equaliser after going down to ten. UTA

The problem against teams like Everton that defend deep is always the same. If you attack too fast, you will have many ball losses and concede on the counter. Just like last season.
If you choose not to control the game, it will get transitional which also favors Everton.
Spamming crosses gives you a few low scoring chances and many ball losses. Also, Everton has the physical advantage in with high crosses.

There's no point in going to the game in the first place if you don't stay to the end.

Wolves won. Season may fall apart with injuries and bad form scoring bloody goals. Possible finish 12.
