She is still rocking it at 63 years old.
Not bragging in any way, but I could do what she does in my sleep-it's really not that difficult. Don't be so easily impressed over so little. She's just overrated. Just saying..

No "comeback" story here. Joan has been going NON-STOP since the 70's. Like Sebastian Bach said in an interview "She's probably playing up the street RIGHT NOW!" . She'll play the same little clubs that I do and not think twice about it, she's just there to play. Then 2 weeks later be in a stadium.
Nope! She just finished her set in Arizona at State farm arena. She rocked it of course!

Well said Joan Jett has been non-stop touring just to make an album that's about it saw her many times in many different places from Little clubs to stadiums she truly just loves to play music and Rock definitely an epitome of a dedicated fucking musician love her for that

The point I forgot to include is this little place is in the ass end of Australia, so she went out of her way to bring her music to me. What an outstanding human.

I once read Grace Slick said that rockers should hang it up when they reach a certain age. Thank goodness not all feel this way. Joan is a legend and it makes me so happy knowing she is out there looking,sound this good. Just amazing. She must take good care or herself and also have good genes. She inspired a whole generation of women to get out there and kick ass. Thanks for posting this.

Yeah I seen that very same interview it's probably different for everyone I love seeing these bands that I grew up listening to still out and about making it happen I she what like 68 and yeah she looks damn good and still has it going on.
If they still play the music we love and do it well I say keep going.

Joan still sounds great I was able to see her from the front row and she was amazing.
I won backstage passes to a meet & greet with Joan and Cheap Trick back in '88. Pictures, autographs, conversation. Great time!

I love this chick. I’ve have been trying to play guitar like JJ since the 80s. Simple , rock solid timing , and no bs amp tone . One of my idols for Sure.
She still looks and sounds good! I saw her twice in concert and she delivered the goods both times. A good time was had by all!

Accidently saw her perform in Orlando at a free outdoor gig. Accidently became a fan that day.
I met Mz Jett after a concert near Wilmington DE some years ago. She signed autographs and chatted with everyone who wanted to meet her, even though it was raining.
Joan Jett is a baddass, kickass Rock Goddess. She looks fabulous!

To be fair, Joan has never had a wide vocal range. There's no way she would ever be able to sing Motley Crue songs. Not to take anything away from Joan, but just saying. Joan Jett's pitch is fairly unchallenging. Same as her playing-good but again, not very challenging.
I cant imagine 40 plus years of singing and touring can be good for the voice.It's a miracle these bands can still get out there.

I think that's pushing it, especially in comparison to Def Leppard. Joan sounds okay here, but is very stiff on stage and her voice is in tune, but has lost a lot of strength (as expected of a woman in her 60s who screamed her whole career).
I saw her band on the tour in DC and honestly she was spot on kicking ass and in tune with strong vocals that night...and I mean strong and gettin’ it....and I love those other bands....but Joan was toe to toe with the best that night....much respect
I remember seeing her in 82, at the height of popularity (and Pat Benatar). I was in High School at the time. How things have changed

I had the privilege of watching her live in Indio California many years ago and still rocks!
I knew she was 17 when I was 24. I am now 60, turning 61, and she is still in my life forever. Her birthday is the day before mine.
Saw her in Vancouver a couple of nights ago. Been waiting 40 years to see Joan Jett ! She put on a great show and definitely didn't disappoint. What a line up, but have to say Joan Jett was the highlight for me !!

I saw her at Summerfest in Milwaukee a few years back. She had total energy and put on a great performance . She was 15 when the Runaways started out . I took a different career path however I was on my own at 15 also. Just think of the Shit she had to deal with starting an all girls band in 1977 . This is one hell of a strong woman. Thanks Joan from an old non professional Rocker to a Pioneer of Women in Rock n Roll . Fantastic what you have accomplished. Keep Rocking Your a ROCK STAR

This'll be my first time seeing her when she comes back to Florida because the schedule work better for me when she comes back to Florida here in 2022 and this is on my first time seeing her again they'll try to get my friend to come cuz he's kind of known her pretty well her music and I like her music too as well sounds like you enjoy her concert and I'm looking forward to seeing her this week myself

My friends got to go backstage at a show in vegas. They were crewing a jetblue flight that she came into town on and when she saw them in the crowd remembered them and told her security "get the jetblue folks up here"!
They said she was authentic as it gets.

I first saw her in September 1983 in Columbia Tennessee for a 3-day outdoor concert in a farm field hosted by Wolfman Jack. I wish I could remember more of it, but from what I recall it was the best 3 days of partying of my life and she was one of the ones I remember.
got her autograph back in the 80s when she was alot younger and I love rock n roll came out !! I was a real youngster and she was so cool and loved to talk about guitars !! all these years later I'm still playing but never made any money at it !! ended up in the USAF for twenty years and now work as a machinist !! but I still love playing on the weekends with old friends
I’m so glad I got to see Joan Jett back in the 90s in Seattle. She’s my spirit animal. lol I was 8 yrs old when I first saw I Love Rock and Roll on MTV and it changed my life. I didn’t know women were “allowed” to look like that and be so badass! I didn’t find out about The Runaways until I was a teenager. I love her so much! The Bad Reputation (2018) documentary is stellar and I highly recommend it.
