This is a late '97 episode of the British TV show "100 Percent" (which already ended on Channel Five - United Kingdom) and the three players competing on this episode are David, Karen & Andrew. 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
It was still a decent quiz though, one that should have stapled firmly in Channel 5’s flagship shows. It went dud when viewers apparently switched off in their droves when that bloke won 75 games and then the producers limited the maximum number of wins to 25. If they insisted on a limit, surely viewers wouldn’t mind if it was 100? £10,000 for the title of Mr/Mrs 100%. The format had become more varied and dynamic by the time it got canned - big mistake stopping this!
@@mclarenguy22 I was a victim of Ian Ligo. I think the producers just wanted a way of getting rid of him in the end and I doubt they lost lots of viewers because nobody could beat him. I know that's what they said in their Channel 5 news snippet but I didn't really believe it - a big exaggeration in my opinion. I felt people got more interested with him there. (I've also been a victim of David Webb in Scrabble tournaments)!
David Webb - Scrabble Grand Master and all round game show contestant.
I remember him well.

30 wins in a row is astonishing. I remember this and another quiz called Whittle which was corny but fun.
Ian Lygo got sick of him! removed from the show after 75 wins
And he got defeated!
Got any more episodes
childhood! the 2 contestants I remember are Andrew McKenzie, and Ian Lygo, who I got fed up of
0:04
23:35
Andrew won the tie that means 57%
23:10 After 30 Wins & 3100 Questions he leave with Only £3000!!!
Channel 5's budget in 1997 was a mere pittance compared to even Channel 4. 100% taped around 10 to 12 editions in one day, all "live-to-tape".

£3000 not bad for a young David in 1997. He must have only been 18 or 19. Great performance.
He was 36 in 1997.
This is like Inquizition without the condescending host.
