i love how half this video is just finding absurd requirements that would need to all be miraculously fulfilled to even have a shot at this working, and then immediately finding a seed that meets all of those requirements. this is just stupid, great video
Another way to reach naneinf without Perkeo is to have multiple copies of Chicot, and keep rerolling the boss into the Manacle. This permanently increases your hand size every time you enter the boss, and with three or four Chicots and a Baron/Mime (Bime?) build, you can reach naneinf. Balatro University already did such a run.
Holy shit this is genuinely one of the most interesting and most well made balatro videos I’ve seen. Obv the editing wasn’t the best but it didn’t have to be and the pacing plus the simple explanations and then the way you introduced each idea and road block while simultaneously solving each issue was genius. Genuinely a 10/10 video amazing job
I did not know that. I personally think save-scumming is kinda cheaty, but for a seeded run I don't really see the problem with it. Thanks for the tip!
@@elunedssong8909 It’s not actually save scumming, save scumming would be literally making a copy of the save file. This is just going to the main menu to reset the hand if you messed up
@@josenobi3022 In this example, I think it would be save scumming because what this does is reload the game's automatic save file back to a point before you made a mistake. I don't think there should be much distinction between abusing an automatic save vs abusing a manual save. If anything, if a game presents you only with automatic saves, and no manual saves, abusing the auto save feature is even more save-scummy! But maybe there's a better word for it 🤔
Insane. One question I always had when it comes to stuff like this, if you did one of these naninf seeded runs, does that score actually become your new high score on your stat page or do you have to improve that through natural luck?
High scores in Balatro are only scored from random runs, so it would not count. Also, if you do manage to get Nan-Inf on a random seed, it unfortunately deletes your current high score. This is because I assume the data type that stores your high score, can not hold Nan-inf, which is probably why nan-inf exists in the first place, so when the number is so big that it exceeds the data type he programmed it in, it is labelled this way as nan-inf.
@@elunedssong8909 This is three months old, but, balatro is written in lua, which is a programming language with only one number type (a double-precision float). The score you get is literally infinity-that's a real, valid value a float becomes after reaching a number higher than about 1.7e308-so it deleting the high score is probably caused by a bug, or maybe an intentional failsafe? (that'd be weird) As for the "naneinf" itself, my educated guess is that, to get the two sides of the scientific notation of a number, the game most likely tries to calculate log10(score) = log10(inf) = inf, and score/10^exponent = inf/10^inf = inf/inf = NaN, therefore, naneinf.
That's the formula for turning baron and mimes to a mathematical representation of score! 1.5^(number of barons + 1 times number of mimes +2) for red seal steel kings.
With serpent strat and blueprints, why not use burglar abuse to get bigger hands? Was there no natural negative burglars in your lots of searching? Honestly, it might even be worth a joker slot.
Blueprint duplicates burglar's effect at the start of the blind, giving +3 hands per blueprint, while the discard debuff does not stack, and the blueprints can be moved elsewhere during the blind.
@@haph2087 I don't believe BP works on Drunkard does it?? Secondly, the problem with that idea is getting that many red seal kings would be difficult. It was kind of close for me the first time I did this. Though you can always pick up DNA near the end, which helps a bit. Not sure if you find burglar at a good time or when exactly you find DNA if you end up having enough time with it to benefit more from burglar than another Baron. It's hard to say, expanding your base is more important than number of cards in hand, it's a ratio thing, but if burglar doubles your handsize it's definitely worth doing! It's all in the specifics, but that is a really smart strategy, cool thinking! I definitely did not consider using burglar before your comment.
@@elunedssong8909 Oops, I was misreading the wiki, blueprint doesn't work on drunkard. The problem of getting more red seal kings is a good point. Getting a lot more cards is difficult when you're limited to how many you can pull out of card packs. I guess magic trick might help, but diluting tarots and jokers is obviously very bad. I agree that DNA would be the best option, but it costs a joker slot, which is not a cheap price to pay.
This was really fun but you forgot the anti matter voucher which gives a plus 1 negative At the cost of $10 For the blank and $10 For the voucher itself which gives the plus 1 giving a total of $20
Great question, I bought all available coupons in the hopes of an antimater, excluding planetary and magic trick, which fill the shop with bad cards, but it does not show up by ante 24. I reran the seed to try and see if I could use this seed to reach no-perkeo NAN-inf in terms of score required by blinds (ante 34?), by using DNA and only 2 ectoplasms, and antimater does show up later, Its on like ante 27ish in this seed when it shows up. Unfortunately, I could only score 170E by ante 32, and it requires 180E, so I was unable to achieve that goal using this seed, (ante 32, being unable to use serpent, but with serpent because of the antimater I could still hit NAN-INF)
@@elunedssong8909 I wonder if its possible to get past ante 32 without Perkeo. I would assume it is, but it seems like the stars would have to align for a seed to have everything you would need

Wow, well done!
ngl had a mini panic attack with the blueprint scare there
Insane run. Btw you can save scum by going into the main menu and it’ll roll back to before the hand was played. Still, complete insanity.

for a misclick (accidentally pressing discard instead of play hand) i think it's fine, but for a misplay (4 cards on psychic) you deserve it
I immediately shared this with my balatro friend group. We are all stunned and marveling at this piece of art. Great work
Incredible, well thought out breakage of a game
get dunked on perkeo
Nice job. Awesome breakdown and execution
i love this breakdown, heck yeah brotha
Thanks for the seed *yoink*
i think its more like nan-einf (so not a number (above the integer limit) * 10^infinity)
damn nice job, I figured this was possible with like anaglyph juggle tag or something but doing it on serpent seems challenging
Now , without perkeo , baron and triboulet :V
Awesome bro GGs

amazing video! i can't believe you actually managed to do this without perkeo
Wow, this is an incredible run, kudos
i think someone already did inf score without perkeo And serpent. even then, this is still insane
The real question I’ve had since I saw the perkeo nan inf run was.
Can I do it, with base hand size. And without a perkeo
Hehe.
Cards go brrrrrrr.
What if the cards in hand were Polychrome? That would lower the requirements, wouldn’t it?
Unfortunately, polychrome only works on play

imagine if you had an extra negative that you can just slap in that wont do anything and can sell it to get past ante 24

i want to know if there is a way to get inf with king joker
Someone reached naneinf with red seal polychrome 2s, Hack, and Idol
Just did this with only 1 ectoplasm on random seed ...
insane!
awesome video! and they said you didnt learn anything useful in math class…
Legendary
couldnt you have used antimatter voucher to gain more jokers instead of ectoplasm or negative tags?
It unfortunately didn't show up early enough on this seed, but yes you can replace an ectoplasm with an antimater!
crazy run
God damn
Whats the seed?
In description, however Thunk has edited the game and now that 1.01 is live the seed doesn't really exist anymore.
Holy
it's pronounced nain-inf or na-nainf
great video but now do it without a seed
Doing it the way I did it, there's too many asks for anyone to be able to do this normally, so I don't think it's possible.
Great comment now walk on the sun
@uncreativeguy123 living up to your namesake. What a clown
@@1TieDye1 this is a joke btw ik its impossible
It's possible if you find a golden seed, check everything on a separate save-file and come back to the unseeded.
