the anetnna is actually huge disadvantage ... it is way more visible than the one on techtree Jagdpanther and if you are cresting a ridgeline or hiding behind any object it will too often give away your position. I'd say talisman on techtree version is better choice
The big problem of this thing is is that the Bulldog is a better sniper these days (it has better optics and ammo, that pens everything).
The JP used to be at 6.0, pre nerf of armor and mobility. It used to have and could have x10 optics, which would make it better, but still only good for +1000m (it was nerfed to x5 due to "historic" reasons). Now it is slower, the armor is more useless and the x5 optics are good at 4.3, but not 6.3.
If I wanted to snipe I'd just use the Kanonenjagdpanzer, which has x16,5 or something like that.
I got the Bfw. Jagdpanther with a 75% discount years back. It was a really good investment at the time. I just wish I could have back some of the characteristics from back then.
The Jagdpanther is a great TD, the problem is that it relies on the heavy angling of the frontal armor. At 6.7 especially there are many vehicles with 100m+ cannons that can get through it, unlike Panther at 5.7.
This is my favorite thank destroyer in the game, this in the right hands is a mennace on any map, good players don't need good maps.

I... I don't know. I wondered that myself.
You can do just as well with the tree version but this one has some very neat camos. Ive used this premium version to good effect as a support tank, assuming you luck out and get a team that actually moves its med and heavy armour to the front and I dont have to solo cap objectives with my SPGs. But if you get a competent team, the Jagpanther thrives sitting maybe 20 meters behind the front line or further back. Good for landing mobility kills while teamnates finish them
i'd recommend the tech tree one along with a bulldog, save your GE for meme premiums like the brumbah

Is it worth it in the current environment in WT? Definitely not, it used to be a lot better back when Germany actually had a 6.3 lineup and the maps weren't all cqb cage matches

This tank is great against Sherman's because they can't pen the front thay easy. Most tanks go right thru thr front except the Sherman's like the jumbo
the maps are too small now days they dont give us good long range maps
Theres only 2 big maps lol
I get the big maps at 8.0 constantly, it would be nice to have medium to small sized maps more common there
@@VictoryforALL915stop lying unless you consider 200m large there’s no large maps until 10.0. I played 8.0 for about 9 games just 2 days ago
@@verstappen9937 large Poland and volokolamsk are the maps I get every other game it seems like at 8.3 in America. When I play Russia or Germany I get sun city and such.
@@verstappen9937 I like these maps but they are hard to play at long range. Plus the drives to the objectives, no reason for you to be so hostile my friend.

No difference other than being premium and different texture lol
You get better rewards with it, but it has a huge ass "Hey I'm here, shoot me" antenna
Love this tank in the real world but being at 6.3 makes this thing awkward to play

The Jadgpanther is in a very sorry state as of 5/1/24. Effectively unarmored, no mg, huge, not enough depression to make it work, and more.
Shame to see such a cool vehicle brought to complete irrelevance.

6.3 Germany only has the lekpz41 so either pair it with 6.0 panther and tiger and risk getting tiered to 7.3 OR pair it with the only 6.7 Tiger (P) and risk a 7.7 uptier
If it was 6.0 it would be great. 6.3 is a challenge to create a decent lineup
Personally I prefer the 7.0 Ferdinand primarily because of it's excellent reverse speed

I despise playing this thing. On a lot of maps it's kinda unuseable because it's just sad at CQC, and on long range maps it's okay, but a King Tiger can do it's job way better just .3 higher. Not like you are playing this thing at 6.3 anyway because it basically doesn't exist anymore :/
Maybe it's even better to just bring a regular panther, because that at least has a turret and can function as a half decent brawler
