he would definitely love the carry on of blues and soul in the family but it’s bold of you to assume that anyone is in heaven. for all we know he could be burning in hell, man went crazy!! but he was awesome.
Got a chance to meet Cedric at the King Biscuit a few years ago. Super nice guy, very affable and took the time to talk to an old white guy that loves the blues. I love what he's doing and hope he keeps doing it as long as he can.
Well, I'm coming to this video from a weird place - watching a Native American/zombie movie on Shudder called Blood Quantum. Now I need to know more about Cedric Burnside.
R.L. was one of the biggest driving factors for me to pick up some instruments. Now I find out his grandson is out there in the world still kickin that funky shit... I assume this is the kid that was jamming the drums in "R.L and family Boogie" and hes been moving strong since he was about 8 years old...
I saw this man at High Sierra Music Festival and it was definitely a highlight of the weekend. This man is so talented and it was honor to see him live, if I ever find myself in Mississippi I’m going to have to find his new juke joint and see some Mississippi blues live ❤️
Saw this guy in the Last of the Hill Country Bluesmen with his grandfather. It's going to be great to see him age into his music. I mean, you can play delta blues well at any age, but the more wrinkles and scars you got, the better.
can anyone help. What is the specific guitar Cedric is playing here? It looks like an Ibanez Artcore AS53, but it has extra tone & volume controls? Is it a mod? Does anyone know?
Okay I promise you can see my jumper on the line you may have taken it off before you put it on the line but oh my gosh I don't mean any disrespect it's just that our L was my introduction to the Blues Before I haven't fell in love with the Blues
R.L. Burnside is smiling down from Heaven right now!!!! His Grandson Cedric is Killin' it!!!
All right
R.L Burnside left a legacy
Yes, he is!!!

Had the honor of hearing Cedric Burnside at the Horseshoe in Toronto. Showed his heart and soul in the music like I imagine his grandfather did. ✌️🧡
