- Designed for stage use, can the Earthworks SR314 hold it's own in a studio environment, particularly if you remove its road/stage worthy grille and pop filter, and replace them with a studio equivalent?
man you are just so professional, relaxed, informative and real.
Thanks, Decenium!
You know what, there is a certain immediacy in the 314. So beautiful, looks and sound. I want one!
Yes indeed, Earthworks pride themselves on speed/time domain and high definition. I find their mics sound present without the need for presence!
Also, I keep being astonished that the 33 sounds so great! The intimacy and the clarity, witout sounding scooped in the midrange.
Really enjoy all your videos!
Its just a pleasure to find a perfect revue like this thanks, if you have a TLM102 or 103 for compare to SR314 or if you have a experience this for quick compare for you. thanks and have a very good day. i don't understand why your are not at 1M viewer, continue its quality of testing for many more mic and your chanel can grow quickly. maybe more pics and less title into the preview youtube pics its more easy to find in your chanel :D
Noted!
SV33 is such a beast damn
It is.
Your voice sounds more pleasant with the NT1. Aldough the Earthworks ads a little more clarity because of higher volume of the high frequencies, it will get you tire of listening for long periods of time, while the NT1 is smooth and clear enough
Can you please do a test mic between sennheiser e945 and se electronics v7. Both are super cardioid but se v7 is just 99$.?
I'm intrigued by this SR314. It sounds amazing. What are your thoughts on it being used for voiceovers? Thank you for your reviews
It's good for voiceovers. Adds a bit of sheen which you can EQ out if your voice is sibilant.
"Oh... lets break everything!" :D :D
The sr314 seems good for audio Books as well as the SV33, what do you think?
It's very good. SV33 has extra hint of grandeur, space and scale. 314 has a bit of sweetening up top - easily reduced with eq if it doesn't suit your voice.
Pretty close, these two - SV33 to me is a tad more '3-dimensional' though, possibly it pics up more room. I was listening through my interface and monitors, and just listened once more with a little reverb added on the SR314 parts - this time the difference was almost gone.
17:04… which one is it? My fav, Thank you.
Lovin’ it! You rock.
Austrian audio?
