      @@alpinegarage8548 white with a wrap that would be similar to the Parnelli Jones Baja winner

    I never saw this in my feed (or was preoccupied with the house build). Great info. I guess we got the answer to the question of how the new Bronco would affect the EB prices!

      SMH. Im sure you saw the $300,000 EB at Barrett this weekend.

    Having owned 4 Broncos 69 half cab 75,76 and 78 I would buy a 2021 which coincidentally I have a reservation for.😉 For those who have never driven the 1st Gen Broncos, they are a handful on the road especially if they are in stock form. They are collectors today not good daily drivers( just my opinion ). While I like the looks of them and they were quite good off-road but I don't expect either of these 1st and 2nd gen Broncos to perform as well as the new 6th Gen for 2021 and certainly no comparison to on-road behavior.

      Exactly. That is why most EB owners trailer to far away events, or take their time to get there. Almost none of the trucks from seventies back were designed for our current interstate speeds.

    Definitely fun to watch, obviously spent a lot of time to collect all of the information. Thanks 👍🏼

    I love that they are bringing the Bronco back and maybe one day I will get one, but I am very happy with my Early Bronco :)

    I am feeling pretty good about the 2.19% rate I got offered on the new Bronco. I purchased a 1997 F355 in 2012 and still got 3.25% rate on that. So finance rates are largely a wash.
    For a really nice 2 door Outer Banks Edition Bronco advanced 4x4, with MIC top, towing, and lux package with cloth interior (Carbonized Gray exterior and Roast Interior) - I ended up at $47.9k.

    You can get a new Bronco for $35K, including a base 2 door Sasquatch and it will still have a lot more features than any old one. Not really fair comparing price to most expensive model.

      I looked at that, and almost went with the entry price point. After doing the math on the classic Bronco average asking price I stuck with the 55k price point to keep them apples to apples.

      Good point though. I wondered if anyone would mention the new Bronco as a better value, because it certainly could be.

    One financial consideration that wasn’t mentioned is registration costs. Here in Colorado yearly registration is based on year of vehicle. On my 72 bronco my 5 year classic registration was about $180. On my 2018 Tesla I am still paying over $1200 per year to register. Obviously that will get lower each year but crazy to be forking out a grand a year for registration. I agree, classic is the way to go if you are concerned about long term depreciation.

      Registration is a big one. There are so many huge costs associated with a car purchase.

    I had not considered depreciation. Many modern vehicles depreciate quickly due in part to the electronics becoming outdated. I'm balancing the new Bronce against a restored IH Scout II in my mind. I had a 1978 IH Scout II with 345 v8 & manual transmission. It was more pleasant to drive on pavement than the early Bronco, but still performed well off road. Heavy beast though!

      @alpinegarage8548  3 года назад +1

      Yes, and the scouts can be picked up a bit cheaper than the Broncos. I am eyeing one myself!

    I was looking at videos of the seats in the 2 door new bronco, If I can fit those into my 1969 that would be a nice upgrade especially the back seats. mile.3 you should take some measurements when you get your new bronco and let us know what type of things we could inter-change or upgrade !

      You know I will. If it’s like the rest of my trucks, I’ll take it apart on night 1.
