No. Actually I watched One of his magic videos and he revealed that he actually had a secret flipping platform that made it so he could put the plate of vegetables on the platform and it would flip over and reveal the cake. But he had to edit out the flipping platform part out.

Most of these are done through really good editing. Example: They have two separate videos for the glass/ cake one. They have a video of him pouring water into a glass and they have another of him cutting a cake that looks like a glass. They put the videos together in such a way that they look like one video, but in reality there are two videos combine to hide the fact that there are two videos that were shot at different times.
