Polestar isn’t a car brand for cheap cars. Polestar do the extra for the materials and everything about design and all the extra. Polestar don’t want the same amount of sales as Tesla. Because Tesla is a mass production car company now, Tesla cars is a basic shell and a screen. Polestar is so much more then that and don’t want to be compared to that.
Polestar will always be a better choice then many other new ev companies because polestar and Volvo work together on everything for the future. Volvo cars just gifted there share holders with 60% of there shares in polestar to make sure to take a step to become even more of two companies so polestar can make there own future but still have the work and safety of Volvo.

Hertz did not cancel the orders of polestar. They just asked to have the orders of the polestar to come later because hertz wants to sell more cars before they get there new polestars.
Volvo havnt steped back from polestar. They have the same involvement as in the start. The only thing Volvo did was to give there share holders 60% of there shares in polestar just so people wont think they are the same company as people did before. Polestar doesn’t have to adjudicate the price to Tesla because they don’t compare them self’s to Tesla. Tesla is a shell with a big screen. Polestar is a real car. With design and real manufacturing materials for the interior. It’s designed and safety. Comfort. Modern. If you see the polestar 3 or 4 you don’t think of Tesla. You think more like porch. Manufacturing takes place all over the globe now, and many companies are owned by bigger ones from elsewhere. My point is, Polestar was founded in Sweden, has its headquarters there and does all the design and engineering there. I therefore feel it is very much a Swedish company.
The delay of the Polestar 3 because of Volvo R&D delay has hurt Polestar a lot. But I am sure Volvo/Geely will be supporting them until they can stand on their own two feet.
Polestar can’t be in trouble because they got Volvo and geely. Polestar 2 2024 is better and more luxurious so will be fine and the polestar 3 and 4 will change the game.

Funny (or sad) that your laudable enthusiasm about Polestar comes at the same time it's poor shape is revealed to the public. And then there is the latest news that Volvo is abandoning it's offspring to Geely. The future looks bleak...
It’s not “abandoning” it, it’s moving it out from being seen as a subsidiary and letting Geely operate it as a separate company. Of course there will be a period of uncertainty and change, but from the products we’ve seen, I’d say the future looks very bright. The Polestar 2 has been a huge success and continues to sell well. Pre orders for other models are also healthy. Moving it off Volvo’s books will allow both to grow their own way, and the scalability of the platform means costs can be kept down as they are shared across Geely’s other companies. But nobody called Aston Martin American when it was owned by Ford and built the Rapide in Austria. Manufacturing takes place all over the globe now, and many companies are owned by bigger ones from elsewhere. My point is, Polestar was founded in Sweden, has its headquarters there and does all the design and engineering there. I therefore feel it is very much a Swedish company.
@@AutoEVamazing work on your information. Polestar and Volvo will always be Swedish. Even tho there owned by Chinese company’s.
There are some reports Polestar is in trouble but if any car is going to save a company its this one.
@@tobias_dahlbergfor sure 😁☀️
Why not show the screen when you talk about the car system? Sorry but not is interesting to see you in the driver seat.
Expensive for no reason other than just being electric, not for me.
It's essentially a Zeekr 001 with a bit different design outside. Nothing swedish about it.
Apart from the design, the interior, the engineering, the components, the sustainability of the materials, the………
Everything in and outside of the car is Swedish. Just there father company that owns polestar is Chinese and the car is production is in china. All the other work is done in Sweden.
Zeekr do actually have lots a problem and not the safety for the future like the polestar have.
too expensive for a chinese Volvo. The "Pilot Assist" works only up to 130km/h, which is not even the speed limit of most limited european highways.
So what its chinese. Doesnt mean its from western/ europe countries means i have to pay a premium. Geez talk about being backward.
@@naivoj122 reality is that most western brands have a much better build quality than chinese therefore demand more money. I drove a polestar2, it sucks.
@@eingast7798 So u are using only one car to define every car that was made in China? U are as shallow as the pee that was left in a public toilet. I have sat in many built european cars before and its the same quality as any Chinese built cars so why pay more for the same quality.
Chinese Volvo? It is no more Chinese than Volvo is.
But here is where people's brains start to melt... The main owner is Chinese, yes. The cars ain't. The cars are defined by the engineering and the design which are very much Swedish/European. And that goes for both Volvo and Polestar.
@@lt6532 maybe the design drawn by some swede designers. All the parts under the hood are 100% chinese engineered and manufactured, just compare wirh Zeekr. No reason not to buy, but a Porsche MacanE price tag(!!!) on this chinese ipad with an IKEA design is just insane.
Germany = efficiency? 😂
It’s clear you haven’t spent much time over here. There is literally nothing efficient about Germany. Our hospitals were transmitting data by fax during the pandemic.
And Italy is “flamboyant”?! Where do you guys get your prejudices from? They are ridiculous!
Don’t write them off.
@@AutoEVgood description. Volvo still have 18% of the ownership over polestar. The work between polestar and Volvo will be the same as before and same for the future. Amazing work by this company’s in Sweden.
20 minutes in, still talking about the layout features. Time to drive. I prefer to find out about the actual driving. (Breathe in loudly). Let’s get on with the driving experience in detail. (Time to get a wind suppression covering for that microphone- surely?)
This isn’t a drive video as we won’t get to drive the car until the end of the year. It’s just a walk around of the car. And I was using the cameraman’s microphone inside a studio, so no wind?
My apologies about the driving. That must be quite annoying for you.
You may not have noticed but the presenter takes a breath before each sentence. The sound guy should note this and compensate. It distracts this viewer from what is being said. It is nothing like as prominent (but it is there) on earlier video. It’s the ONE thing that detracts from the presentation.
