Hey Kevin, my 12yr old son used tripod for his Elk hunt last year. It was just a cheap tripod but it really helped him stabalize the rifle. Some people dont realize you can get adrenaline dump just from hunting and be shaking and not even know it. Thankyou for content. Hope to do a class with you soon. Fyi, we met at cowtown. Im the dad and daughter team that took carbine class.
I purchased the Spartan Sentinel tri-pod and Spartan Javelin bi-pod, super easy set up, very quick to deploy, very user friendly. Not one complaint. I also use on bolt action center-fires for big game hunting.
I use their lightweight clip on bipod. It’s lightweight and leaves more room in my pack for FOOD and WATER! Cause, on some backpack hunting trips you see nothing but burn thousands of calories. Love spartan precision! Thanks for the content guys! Can’t wait to take your classes. Think I’m gonna shoot for Arizona before coues deer season
A little steep for me, but I love the setup. Here in Alaska, the grass can get 5-6 feet tall, so a standing tripod is awesome to have. I just might need to save up for something like this. Do you know if it easily attaches to bolt guns?
Looks like a great set up for any precision shooter. Do you have to have it...no but it would be nice to have at the range or in the situations you described. It could really bring out the best in your weapons system. If you're just a plinker or a recreational shooter the cost isn't worth it but for someone who wants the best out of their rifle then I could see getting one.
Im all in on a solid FFP. I've used the old school 2 tripod system for ffp's in the Army. However it felt a bit wonkey when the target was being unpredictable, or just very mobile. Interested to see how this works out in those situations, and even for hunters who are dealing with stubborn game. Any personal testimonies???
I realize this tripod already has a head unit on it but I need to know if I can take that unit off and add the Davos pro or add the Davos pro on top of the head unit? I can’t get anybody to answer that question for me
Thanks Kevin, Very cool gear. Iv'e seen & used a single tripod with new shooters (especially woman and kids) & it's a game changer. Questions; 1. I've seen PRS shooters using 2 tripods also. Is it necessary to use a 2nd tripod at the rear or could you use a mono-pod to adjust elevation at the butt-stock while the front tripod supports the rifle? 2. What is the pros & cons as to where you mount your rifle on (single tripod) the tripod. I noticed in your video yours was mounted close to the muzzle end of the hand guard.
How? It’s A bipod with a quick detach to mount on the tripod. Then extended legs for the bipod. A secondary device to stabilize the back of you want it. Doesn’t seem like too much.
didn't have enough time to get into a prone position, but I had enough time to set up not 1 but 2 tripods. enemy didn't stand a chance. I'm telling you the efficiency and quality of this product is worth staking your life on. and if you by the first one at full price we will send you the second one free, or your life back! thanks but no thanks, ill take that old stump over your tripods anyday! BTW , How can you say shit on live media like that and sleep at night.? you sir are definitely a high speed operator.
I'm pretty sure that a guy who has been in two different special operations teams for two different countries and is a retired special operations sniper might know what he is talking about.
Kevin is killing it. Please keep him in front of the camera/mic. His insight is always spot on and I love hearing his perspective on gear and tactics!

Great to see Kevin ’Burt’ Owens. Great for shooting Graboids.
Looks lighter and cheaper than the Instro Precision setups I've seen and bought. Thanks for your insight and service.
Kevin's the man! Good, honest review 👍
If you're a spot and stalk type hunter this will work well too. Any time you need a solid standing or even sitting platform for long range.

WOW-!!! THAT IS BEAUTIFUL.

I wonder how this compares to the RRS Soar line? I have some RRS gear from their photography line and really like the build quality. Pricey though....
Will the pro model Davros go on top of this tripod? I feel like it would be better on top of this tripod and it would support my gun better etc.

Looks like AZ, but i've never seen this range, where is this?
Cowtown Range West Platform 3
Woah Great man 💪😎
To cool
Interesting
Those long seated legs need to be a plug in instead of a threaded attachment. And the price is a bit too much. I mean 1500$ for a tripod system?
When you realize when he says "glass" hes hunting for humans.
I mean I hate to say it but there's wayyy to much going on here!

good review but not for me. too much to fuss with for what i do
Yeah... nah.
Good piece of kit, for those who have FU $$$ or for those who can write it off on their taxes (wink wink).

Jim small you are a buffoon.
Too much $$$. 600 for a fucking tripod. Same people that buy 75k trucks to go to the office buy this shit.
