- OLD SCHOOL BEEF AND VEGETABLE SOUP (IN AN INSTANT POT)
This is a easy simple quick way to make a big pot of beef and vegetable soup in an instant pot
Very simple and absolutely delicious
RECIPE:
3# beef chuck roast small diced
1 cup frozen corn
1 cup English peas or green beans
1 cup frozen carrots
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
1 8 oz can chopped tomatoes
1# chopped potatoes
2 cups beef stock
salt and pepper to taste
Season beef with salt and pepper
Place meat in instant pot and sear on all side until browned(on sauteed setting)
Add all other ingredients in pot with stock last
Place lid on instant pot and put on meat setting for 80 minutes
Enjoy with crackers or cornbread

I see a lot of vegetable soups recipes out there but hardly any of them are made with cabbage in them. I grew up in the 60's. My mom and dad had a big garden. There was 5 of us kids to feed. When it come to harvesting time we ate a lot of vegetable soup with cabbage. It is delicious and filling. It sweetens up the soup a bit. I would never make it to this day with out cabbage. And soup bones were cheap back then. If you like cabbage you will never eat vegetable soup with out it. And it makes a thicker soup which I love.❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤

Chef Jeffery, I made this for lunch today. It was fantastic. I pressure cooked it for 30 minutes with a natural release and it was fully cooked and the beef was tender. Thank you for sharing.

I usually love my good hot soup in winter but a bowl of soup like this, I can eat anyseason and any meal of the day. Love hot sauce in it . Cornbread too. No corn bread I put a cup of plain fritoes on top.Have a Blessed Day.

Gave your chicken liver recipe some love and made it once again. Just tried this out tonight, excellent again and easy peasy ! Did have to make a few changes as I had a leftover roast beef so I lowered the cook time. Thanks again, hope all's well !
(BTW, was thinking about trying chicken livers in the instant pot. I'll let you know if I do or will see your post if you try it)

Hi Chef! I love soups! I have only made beef/veg with ground beef like mom did. It was one of my favorite meals growing up. I'm definitely going to try it with chuck roast or stew meat. I've heard it's more economic able to cut a roast up anyway. Nowadays anything to save a buck! I have a favor to ask for those of us who don't have an InstaPot or pressure cooker. Would you be so inclined to tell us times on cooking these recipes stovetop, like timeframe when to put this or that in or how long to cook for each step? Just a quick mention would do. These InstaPot recipes you've been doing look So Darn Good to pass them up bcuz of not having an InstaPot. You're so wonderful to share and love your channel, thanks.
