    Interesting..tissue paper or toliet would dissolve faster..having done the seed starting on paper towels for years...and tossing it finally...and seeing first hand how hard it is for the seed to go thru the paper...the thinner the better.

    Hello, thank you so much for the tip. Is it possible to share a picture of how they look like now? Also how the roots go below of that paper towel? Thanks!

    • @GardeningInCanada
      @GardeningInCanada  4 года назад +2

      Yes absolutely! I’ll put it into one of my videos this weekend! And roots are mega tough they will power through almost anything to keep growing. Have you heard of seed tape before? This is the same concept but cheaper and more of a DIY version

    So how doI know how often to water them? I have grown some plants from seed, but tend to overwater the seeds a kill about half of them before they germinate. Any suggestions? Thank- you.

    I cheated and got an already sprouting baby basil bush. I am so excited about it. Right now it is still in its plastic container because I need to get it a container. What is best?

    • @GardeningInCanada
      @GardeningInCanada  4 года назад +1

      Krystal H plastic is totally fine! If that’s what works for you then stick with it! Honestly plastic is better then the terracotta I used because it will retain moisture much better. I’ll be watering this sucker like crazy because of my pot choice.
      And that’s hardly cheating haha that’s just saving time! I do it too when I’m in a crunch. You’ll do awesome!

    Paper towel is not good for seeds. All you have to do, is fill a pot with soil, and sprinkle the seeds in.
