- It’s easy to forget just how hard our bite alarms work for us, sitting there always on. If you’re a Siren R3 owner of any duration, you’ll have long since taken for granted their effortless performance in all weathers, barely sipping at their battery power. With reliability a hard-won accolade, there’s a sequel in town-the Siren R4-and Nash has cranked the dial marked ‘features’ up to 11. CARPology's Joe Wooltorton has been using them since their launch a few years back and here's what he's made of them...

The best alarms I have had so far. The only thing I miss are some unique deep sounds, like I had on the Delkims. But this is personal preference.
Been using Fox alarms for years, moved over to Nash alarms ( not R4's). But went back to Fox five years ago.
Hi,im buying now 2 sets of the r4 for me and my son. Only thing to complain infront is the tone. In all the vids i only hear high tones... Do they have deeper sounds also? 😅😅
These are my favourite bite alarms, but unfortunately we don't have Nash officially in Serbia, so I'm usinng RX+. Hope to switch to these some day. Also using Nash X series 12ft 3.25lb rods, can't be more satisfied...
what are you supposed to do when the receiver battery degrades? can it be replaced?
What size slap heads r u using ?

A bit on the lighter side the review...would have loved to touch more on the technology such as the Drift Sensing Safeguard...things that make them stand out from other models etc. Seems like r4s are the new trend this year... all our brand-sponsored tackle shops are now pushing nash, last year was wolf, before that fox and then cycle back with others😂
I’ve not long got a set of R4s and pretty disappointed going from my Delkims tbh. I just wanted to change because of the bleeps I got in the rain but the R4s just have features that I won’t use and the lack of tones are pretty lame also. Think I’ll be selling my 2 rod presentation R4 set as I just don’t rate them- awkward to change diff settings on them too!
