Wow Metro Zoo changed a lot. I haven't been there for 27 years. God I'm old. Our Girl Scout Troop slept over at the zoo and we visited the night cages. We fed a rhino at one of the night cages. Riley and Jackson might enjoy that. There is a 20 person minimum I think. Going onto the tiger paddock used to be a thing, but they unfortunately stopped doing that. 4 days after we were there a zookeeper was killed on the tiger paddock.
*Edit The reason why there are a lot of Amazon Parrots living in the wild in Florida is because of Andrew. Like you said the aviary was destroyed and the birds went bye bye.

My ANXIETY! When I was a baby my grandma held my baby sister up to feed the giraffe and it wrapped its tongue around her arm and tried to take her with the food!! D: RILEY YOUR FEARS ARE VALID! (I have a ball python they are super cute!)
Also, you're so brave for going through that aviary with all those birds just strolling alongside you. 😂
Our zoo has an exhibit where you can feed parakeets and we took my oldest about 5 years ago and I was literally about to s*** myself in there 😂 Now we're about to take my youngest on her first zoo trip in the next month or so and I'm already having anxiety about the parakeets. 🤦🏻♀️

Where I live we’re on strict stay at home orders don’t get me wrong it’s nice to see you enjoying life with your babies I’m completely envious as I’m stuck home with my 3 year old going insane lol! The giraffes at my local zoo are never hungry when we want to feed them lol! Does Riley still like bug critters? If so, check out insectlore.com, we bought some caterpillars last week and they are about to become butterfly’s soon. It’s been such a cool little experiment for the whole family. And it only cost us like $30 I believe.
