In order for it to stick together you have to let it cool ,also the oil plus the butter plus the pan spray is not needed and just just a tip from chef to chef :have some shredded lobster meat to sprinkle on the top before the finishing layer of cheese goes on for presentation 🥰 this still looks amazing ,,with Love from NY 💕

Finally someone who prepares Mac&Cheese like I make mine.. with an easier execution, I like how you put the milk cheese and butter in a bowl a pre mix.. im going to do it that way instead of one thing at a time into the pot of noodles

Barilla noodles dont need oil in the water. Avoid the oil because the cheese wont stick to the noodle.

This is a amazing dish, but I have one question. At the base making part do we fully mix in the butter (where it’s no longer visible) or do we leave it where the butter is still somewhat visible like you did?
Keep the butter out to room temperature and mix all together. Everything should incorporate

Lobster mac and cheese is one of my favorite dishes to make for my family. This one looks simple and delicious. I never put oil in my pasta water. It seals the pasta so it won't soak cup sauce. Makes the cheese slide off.

No I purchased them already cooked and frozen. You can use tails but the presentation won't be as good.

I use a bechamel sauce or "roux" because I don't like eggs in mine and I do not use Velveeta. I grate my own cheddar and other cheeses. I have to say that I love the end result of yours though. Very cheesy. And nice touch with the creme fraiche. I am going to try lobster mac and cheese for the first time this Thanksgiving and the RUclips search results brought me here.

I want to make this for Thanksgiving this year. Do you cook the lobster first and add it, or do you just let the lobster meat cook while it bakes? I'm asking because I don't want my lobster to be rubbery or tough.
Can you freeze this prior to baking - thaw, top and bake.
