    I never tried drugs because I knew I would not be able to stop. But I wondered what that FEELING is like of trying it for the first time, and I saw this girl (a heroin addict) describe her first time trying heroin as “getting a hug from God” and I thought “wow! If it feels like God is hugging you no wonder people can’t stop.” I think that is a powerful description and the best one I’ve heard.

      Yep, basically a hug from god. Its the most blissfully, heavenly, orgasmic and peaceful feeling a human being can ever hope to achieve. It honestly feels like you just discovered magic, and its your best friend, your lover, your mother and father, and just overall makes you feel like it is your purpose in life to ingest heroin. Its the most absurdly pleasurable feeling you will ever feel. Nothing else comes close. Even sex feels stale in comparison. I would have chosen heroin over sex any day of the week.
      So yeah, you could imagine how unfathomably addicting it is.

    I learned with opiates that there is two types of people. The first type of people get a big rush of euphoria and energy, making them feel nothing but pure Bliss. This group is where the addicts come from. Then second type of people have more of a bad reaction to it. Which sometimes involves throwing up or falling asleep right away. They don't get any enjoyment out of them, so addicts rarely come from the second group.

      Hmmm, I didn't know it was common at all to have a bad feeling about it. I had surgery and was prescribed some sort of syrup to take for pain. I think it was hydrocodone? It took the pain away, but it also made me feel like I had the flu. I don't remember any sense of feeling good, just generally groggy and tired. Oddly enough, I hated trying laughing gas at the dentist too.

    Heroin is the best thing ever and the worst thing ever. Luckily I was only a junkie for about a year before I had to get my shit together, and I’ve only relapsed once about…5 years ago, but there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t want that again.
    I’d say the biggest reason I haven’t gone back is fentanyl. I know that if I went out right now and scored, I’d die. The guy who helped me get clean was a drug rehab counselor I knew, and he relapsed last year and overdosed after nearly 10 years sober, God bless and keep him, and it was because of fentanyl.

    Opioid high feels like the most intense orgasm when your eyes roll back and can barely keep them open when you have the full effect from opiods that last for about a hour or 2. After that for about 12 hours your not high af anymore but the opiods are still in your system so youll feel soo confident, euphoric, motivated to do anything if your quiet youll be soo talktive and feel like you emotionally connect with people a lot easier. Very very addictive i was a opiod addict and these are the effects and feeling i had. Im a quiet calm dude so this drug shoots your confidence threw the roof making you feel socially and emotionally connected with people but it is soo addictive never try this and withdrawals are very uncomfortable and painful

      Thank you for describing how it feels. I’m not an addict but very close people to me have been addicts to alcohol and tobacco. I wish i understood better that way i can somehow know how to help them and others. Would you say “addiction” to sugar is in the neighborhood? Or far from? The fact you say addiction is “orgasmic” helps to understand. But what do the withdrawals feel like? It just serms like, say, alcoholism is like a monster out to get anyone who succumbs and it won’t let go. I do pray for people with addictions and i pray i understand them a bit more without me having to experience that, though, i would like to have some point if some kind of comparison, even if it’s nowhere in the ballpark….

    • @Blahbadee
      @Blahbadee 2 месяца назад

      @@marlena4020I’m so grateful of your unknowingness about addiction and I mean that genuinely. An addiction to sugar would be like a mosquito bite. An addiction to drugs is like a tiger ripping your limbs off and eating you alive. Both “bites” can be considered as bites, but they are nowhere near the same ball park. A sugar addiction is uncomfortable but not all consuming. It’s annoying and kind of nagging and yes in certain food addiction cases it can actually extremely affect your life, but those are the very very extreme rare cases. With drugs, it is all consuming. You don’t wake up “kind of wanting” some drugs. You wake up and will not think about anything else except how to get the drugs. You obsess and do not see anything else but the idea of getting high. And it is so stressful obsessing over it that you become manic trying to get money to buy some or trying to find a dealer to link up with and give you some. That’s where people get desperate and start doing shit they would never otherwise do if they weren’t addicted. But you just so badly want to relieve the anxiety and desperate feeling you have of needing the drugs. It’s like being trapped in a car that’s filling with water. As soon as you get the drugs, the water goes down and you relax a little. But every time you do more drugs, the water goes down less and less. Until finally, you just drown. There is no happy ending unless you quit it all together.
      But to answer your question- I think what is most important to understand about drug addiction is that once you are addicted that is ALL you are. You lose yourself. Your entire existence becomes about getting drugs. It is not just casually on your mind now and then. It is 100% every waking second - “how do I get high” and that’s all you are and that is why it is so hard to get sober. Because imagine trying to fight back against that idea when your entire mind and body needs the drugs so bad. It takes bear superhuman will to become sober because you are fighting an evil version of yourself and usually by the time you want to get sober you have ruined your life and burned every bridge and done horrible things to get drugs so at that point it is even harder to convince yourself it’s worth it. THATS why so many addicts just die on the streets. They lost all hope and slipped away. I commend any addict who is able to get sober because they fought with every fiber of their being to get out of “that drowning car”. Hope this insight helps.

    The best way to describe the effect heroin has, is kinda like this... Imagine you're at a restaurant, waiting to be seated. You got a booth sitting by the window open, and the sun as it about to set, it's shining pretty bright through you and activates some childhood memories you want to live on. You feel that sensation there. You love yourself more, and you forget about everything else. It's something like that. Unfortunately, the effect doesn't last long and can cause more and more uses and addiction. It's not even worth a try. I never tried heroin, but I heard of someone who described it to me in a better sense.

    • @mrssanchez3652
      @mrssanchez3652 2 месяца назад +2

      the effect can take up to 12 hours. since it's (kind of ) compairable to morphine / opium. which is a natural occuring opiate. heroin is morphine+ a different kind of elements synthetically added to the natural base. = half-synthetic
      and then there's methadone , oxycodone : which is fully produced in labs and has no natural parts in it. it just mimics the effects of opiates "like the walmart version"- of heroin which makes people still use and chase the dragon after trying harm reduction. but the good thing is: it takes away the cold turkey. i speak from experience.

    • @dmana3172
      @dmana3172 14 дней назад

      @@mrssanchez3652 Unfortunately, it doesn't last forever. People want to feel good about all the sunshine stuff, like their ancestors around them back in time, like a long time ago, like at a better place and feel like a king. When they wear out, they becomes depressed. I seen that happened to some people. This is why Heroin is illegal in the U.S. It's not because of the effect, it's because it wear out and cause people to depend on it more, and more people were hospitalized and some died of overdose on heroin. Hopefully, something better and safer would replace that.

    I came to this video out of chance. I got some suboxone and thought to look up what it was while trying it out, at 1st it was to get "high" but it turned into me learning what others are dealing with. So an empathy lesson of sorts if you will. Kinda neat.
    At the start the guy is reliving how his experience with heroin was to him and that was very informative, but towards the end you could hear the fear in his words about "how he shouldn't be doing it" and that blew my mind... who told him that, why does he now think its bad? He was so shook and took all that stuff on at face value its almost like those values scarred him more than the heroin use did.
    He sounded like a child getting told something by and adult, and because the adult said so then it must be absolute. So bizzare to me at this moment.
    You can do heroin dude, and weed, and sniff petrol or whatever it we all do, but you just got to understand what it is your doing, and the labels that will projected upon you by others for doing whatever it is that you do.
    As soon as you let those peoples ideals and fears set in... you have lost all sense of self awareness and the chance to re balance oneself.
    And that's a shitty and priceless thing to lose, loss of knowledge.
    Its like spending a realy long time trying to solve something super hard only to have someone waltz by and mutter the answer to what it is you spent so long trying to solve. Forever robbing you of that moment of self enlightenment.
    That.... that shit really bites.
    But man, the fear I heard in his voice towards the end of this otherwise informative video was REAL👌
    Thankyou random person in this video, for the chance to understand on a more human level what heroin is.
    Rather than hearing it from some less informative judgemental news report that just s o u n d s l i k e a r o b o t.
    Thankyou very much.

I gave the rest of the dope back, little did I realize that could have been the beginning of my addiction, with dope it don’t take long, don’t get it confused with sniffing cocaine it the difference between night and day.

    Wow that was just heartfelt brilliant, thanks. I've not tried it but I'm seriously addicted to prescribed opioids for a complicated kidney cancer surgery 9 years ago and now I've got 3 days until my next script as i had to use extra with diverticulitis pain this week and I'm climbing walls withdrawing and am searching for anything to get me thru and I was "thinking" about heroin as mental as that sounds but the medical people have literally made me an addict. I can't function with my abdominal pain and use minimal oxycodone 20mg slow release and 20mg OxyNorm prn daily but for 4 years i was on 80mg plus iv morphine. I'm desperate i don't drink or smoke and had the responders ambulance crew on stand by last night and they want me to go to hospital but my GP point blank refused to give me 3 days supply as i had GENUINE reason to take 12 x 5mg OxyNorm extra as i had bronchitis and COPD and diverticulitis all together last week. I'm in hell, literally hell, i feel like screaming and cutting myself to bits but i have renal Failure and all family are dead. I'm considering black market crap but know my savings destined for my own mortgage will get swallowed up and I won't be able to dressmake. Did I say I'm in HELL !!;! every single millimetre of flesh under my skin is crawling I'm writhing and rocking and i have to find something to get me thru
    I don't want to leave my little companion dog, he's all I've got in the world but seriously, i feel if someone gave me a syringe and you know what I'm pretty sure my desperation would be my Demise and I've come so far in life, this is the pits of withdrawals and the worst is come. Have a blessed day

      you easily could get addicted to kratom after as short as 2 weeks of daily use, symptoms are definitely not as bad as with strong opiates but you can estimate what opiates will do to you after the same time.. i am not a fan of anecdotes that heroin is 100000x times better than sex or BS like that, the feeling of high from kratom is really similar and so must be the physical dependence.. if you can feel the high it is not important the method you do it, at the end of the day you will be there

      Hi Cindy, I try to share my honest experience on here with what it was like for me. In the videos, I say how I became dependent and addicted to it. The reason many of us become addicted is because that first time is captivating and we keep chasing it. My hope is someone sees this video and decides to not try it at all.

      If you frame drugs in a 100% negative way, when people try t and its amazing, they'll believe everything negative was a lie. It will be heaven and hell on earth, you need to show both sides.
