Many thanks to my mate, Duhmeister, for providing the gameplay footage for Tip 46, and for pointing out to me just now that I spelled "Chaos" wrong in Tip 79 - don't write captions after midnight, folks! Hahaha... thanks, Duh, that's what friends are for! Also, another correction! The scanning angle of the Guardian Turret (Tip 49) is actually 150°, not 90° - I have now measured it using images of it taken from above (thanks to @Bhristopherblud for questioning my 90° info in a comment). And... mines all now have a 1.6 second delay on them now following the latest patch (Tip 46), so Duhmeister's not going to be throwing mines at someone's face again. :(
I’m absolutely LOVING The Finals. The physics are great, map destruction is some of the best I’ve seen, and the gunplay is a bit different but it grows on you fast once you find your preferred load out. This video just showed me so many new ways to experiment and I hope this game continues to get better. Now just to find a team to play the ranked matches with and go to the finals baby!
Great list and it boggles my mind how mindful the developers were to implement all those interactions. I started less than a week ago and I learned a lot in your video. Thanks!
During the beta I messed up the enemy team that way on Seoul Under Construction as a sniper. I was camping the centre crane for its good vantage and I could reposition it to better cover my team. I noticed a squad moving to intercept my team via a raised bridge. As soon as they pressed the button I shot it to reraise it and reduce the pressure my teammates had to deal with. This repeated until they figured out where I was and tried to return fire probably thinking I was trying to kill them. I was satisfied having effectively removed an entire team from the fight and all I had to do was keep the bridge raised and keep their attention long enough that they wouldn't think about using a nearby jump pad.
Thanks! I didn't spot that, because it still created timestamps with one 0. And thanks for stopping by - I've really enjoyed your movement videos, which is why I didn't go too in-depth with movement in this video haha!
Hey, thanks for another great video! Best finals content. Just wanted to share a tip I learned from experimenting with the goo gun. The tower method starts collapsing after the number of goos attached to a single point exceeds 15. So vertical towers reach 15 then break on the 16th goo. This doesn't really affect towering but is useful to know for building large walls as you need to make sure that there is multiple attachments to the ground as goo fired at other goo connects to what it hits first, even if it looks like its connecting to the ground too. So keeping track of which chain of goo you're adding to can let gou build massive structures without collapses. Thanks again for the great video :)
The Finals 👍 edit: If you deploy a zipline while on a throwable object, the zipline will be attached to the object, do with that what you will :) edit edit: You can, in fact, grab the object while on the zipline if you're fast enough :) Edit edit edit: Patched :(
Another random tip but if one of your teammates decides to kill themself if they are a heavy or a medium and you have a light on the team the light can pick the dead player up and take them with them since the lights can Traverse the map a lot quicker than mediums and especially heavies. if you were to have two lights and a heavy then the heavy could kill himself then one of the lights could pick him up and take him with them once they get to where they need to go and then revive him so they all get there at the same time instead of the heavy being a mile behind the rest of the team
i expected this to be a "yaya, i knew it all"- experience but damn, there were some helpful tips in this vid. great vid (and i guess i will destroy all exit signs from now on)
C'mon man, you can't release something as busted as the exit sign trick. If you do that then anyone that goes in will be stuck in there for the entire match. Have some humility
Im surprised you didn't include this tip about the smoke/powder. It can put out fires and its very good for stealth since it basically turns off the glowing outline of your character when your standing in it. I run the smoke grenade on my light class sometimes. Good to hide in it for a revive or to put out fire that is covering the cashout.
When the trailer came out I was amazed by the destructive nature and appealing aesthetic. Now after playing it I can say it’s probably one of the best first person shooter games I’ve ever played coming from playing COD since 08. It’s like battlefield and overwatch combined IMO.
The best part is that the game is fun even when you’re losing, unlike games like valorant, cod, or overwatch where losing makes your mental plummet and winning doesn’t help fix it
@@lazybones107 yeah the game is very forgiving you can go from being in last place to winning the game. They definitely did that on purpose to create a better experience for all players.
Tip 87: if you’re playing as a medium or heavy and standing in a window you can vault to a window above you to traverse floors rather than using stairs. Tip 88: you can take a map explosive object, melee, let it go and catch it, then hold it below you so it goes through the floor. Depending on the depth it won’t do any damage or do minimal damage as it explodes. Tip 89: if you shoot the bottom of a active goo it will break the top above that goo aswell (gooood if you wanna save bullets in a upcoming fight) Tip 90: if you’re playing heavy build with mesh shield and someone is pushing you head on and your stalling for more time… as they’re pushing you and you wanting to gain some distance between you and them, Bring down your mesh shield as you slide through them, do a 180° turn and bring your mesh shield up again. You can do this multiple times if needed (practice in practice range and in game, the faster you’ll be able to do it the more efficient it be.) Tip 91: Dome shield on heavy class can be used and an extended extra shield. If you ever find yourself far away from your team and see them engage in a fight, you can throw your dome shield from a far to give them more cover. Suggest throwing it in front of the enemy or close to your team depending on the situation and cover your team or enemy team has. Tip 92: if there is gas or pyro at a cash out but you need to steal. You can have your heavy or medium steal as your healer (medium) heals whoever is stealing to mitigate the damage from fire or gas. Healing beam will zero out gas and fire will do slightly more damage (why I suggest heavy go for steal over medium.) Tip 93: Communicate with your team what you’re about to do and also what gadgets you’re about to use so you and your teammates are on the same page and can play more efficient without surprises. Tip 94: Drink water, take breaks i between games/tournaments to stay calm and focused. Don’t forget to eat and stretch. Always bring a positive attitude to a game rather than a negative.
The things you can do with your surroundings, the different ways you can use things to your advantage but also punish you if not done properly is going to cause a lot of rage to this game but its such a good feature as an esport game. It’ll also allow for so many cool clutch plays
Yeah, I discovered that one by accident. If there’s a mine attached inside the tower part way up, which I’ve seen players do a bit, you will still set it off though (although survivable).
I found that 84 spot in a ranked game today before watching this and it's awesome. Had a turret watching the box on the ground while I was up there and wiped three teams as the last man on my team.
Ok, so, firstly, thanks for the comment - it made me go and check it by capturing images of it from above and then overlaying them in Photoshop and then use the protractor tool. Because three lasers are coming out of the turret, and the left and right ones are at an angle, the actual scanning angle is 150°! I'm about to make a video on the turret anyways, so I'll mention it in that.
This is really great video. Anyone else have trouble throwing and grabbing a red canister back “in game”? I can do it in the practice arena but it’s rare that it works when I’m in a tournament or a quick match. Lemme know! Thanks
