What a haunting ending. The concept of ending the current universe in order to create an ideal, better universe from scratch. Usually any game villains who talk about creating new universe loses, but becoming one and making it happen feels extremely disgusting but satisfying at the same time. While bond ending is your perfect happy ending on its own, this ending is in a way the 'perfect' ending by cleaning the universe.

You still have your True Goddess. The whole thing that many believe is that the isolation of having noone capable of comprehending him caused the descent of madness for YHVH, Dagda prepared a sort of pseudo insurance plan to atleast prevent that being a possible factor by giving you the choice to have a True Goddess by your side.
I see both endings as different versions of Neutrality, Bonds being the Idealistic One where everyone friend and Foe stand together but the risk of someone breaking the band and causing shit to revert back to the unending cycle of Law vs Chaos Wars is very high, while Massacre is the Cynicism path where the major troublemaker YHVH is gone for good, but who's to say you won't falter and end up the same EVEN with a True Goddess equal by your side (Spoilers, I liked Asahi, characterwise minus her extremely dumb moments so she was always my pick, Toki was my second favorite, I WILL NEVER PICK THE MALES or Isabeau for that matter as she's Flynn's girl, she's either with him, or fuel for the new universe), Both Neutral endings are just the same as past Neutral endings, they leave the hope the crisis is gone for good, and the hope it's done for good, however knowing human nature, what led to the crisis in the first place is very likely to happen again no matter what, and the backstory (Especially since SMT II showed that even when Neutral was picked, the War between Law and Chaos started back up again after the Law side assassinated the Hero and likely Heroine as I don't know her fate but I doubt the Law Faction would tolerate her still living too, and Neutral for that game caused Aleph to suffer VERY badly as SMT 3 Nocturne or as I call it SMT Nocturne as I view Strange Journey as the real SMT 3, as that whole curse for killing god thing was actually real) it's only going to take one mistake for Nanashi and Asahi to become worse the the YHVH even more so as Asahi (or whoever True Goddess is chosen) makes it clear that their future followers will just be expendable with that "She'll just make more" comment, That's why I like the SMT games Neutral endings they always leave that question of Whatever things were solved for good or not, like P5 ending "MINOR SPOILER" with that gauge of people who believe in the heroes ideals or not is left at 50/50 showing how fickle people can be no matter what, that whole mankind unites thing only applies during crisis, once those are resolved we usually go back to strangling and disagreeing with each other bitterly, sad but true, that honestly made me view it as a combination of the idealistic happy ending of P4, and the VERY Bittersweet ending of P3

Its funny because even though this was the entire plotline and purpose to Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne (Completely creating a new universe from the old), SMTIVA manages to add a very scary sinister feel to it, while Nocturne's feels more like happy-faux endings (well, other than TDE)

@@sock312 Well, her end goal was always to get her power back from YHVH! This ending is pretty much taking the power from YHVH....then keeping it to yourself! Of course she would have a problem with that as you became a Messiah the moment Dagda revived you as a Godslayer. Would you tolerate someone you guided to get your stuff back to do the same thing the person you wanted it back from did....which is keep your stuff and not give it back?
@@paulman34340 she didn’t do shit. She sat there and waited for someone to solve her problems for her. She literally apparently had the ability to go to other universes and claim messiahs but I guess she was too retarded to go do that. Flynn and Nanashi would have been on the warpath for quite a while. Not to mention Dagda is very open about what he resurrected Nanashi to do so she should’ve had plans for him to follow Dagda’s wishes
Not a really bad ending.
He basically created a universe outside Axiom rule, more like ours.
Where Gods like Dagda are concepts, nor phisical bodies.
It's still inside the Axiom rule, it's just that this new universe will be run differently than YHVH's.
Dagda's essentially returning to his Celtic form as a primordial concept, instead of being forced into a "god" or "demon" form that YHVH's monotheism is centred around.

Don't really like the ending per se, but that last scene was BADASS.

I don't know why, but this ending for some reason feels more natural than bonds ending, I feel bonds route very forced and very persona esque
Well, the rational ending is the massacre one, if you think about it. Even if Yhvh is out of commission, in the bonds one, remember that the archangel are sealed, so, who knows really when another conflict would start. Then, Hallelujah, who is a demi-human, could become Lucifer.
@@xgaming6609 Uh, no, in the Bonds route, the Archangels are dead. They merged with Jonathan to create Merkabah, who himself was slain and joined with Lucifer to become Satan, who ceased to exist after YHVH was slain.

@@xgaming6609 Well, no; there are no doubt demons and even angels who’ll reject your ideas of coexistence. You may or may not have to deal with the Demonic Gene as well at some point, though arguably it could be counteracted by Inanna/Danu’s powers of rebirth.
YHVH will likely also return in some form, though given his demonization it won’t be as the creator god he once was.
both endings to me felt like they were delaying the inevitable.

jedahaw Listen to YVHV dialogue while he dies, this ending makes it clear that he is dead and humanity will fall because of it. Bonds is the one were he might return. The only real threats to Nanashi is other messiah, like Aelph or the Demi-fiend.
It's hard to imagine a SMT game without YHVH having major influence. He will most definitely come back.
reniorjd the dialogue is almost exactly the same though:
peace route: "you shall regret this decision."
massacrre route: "you can regret this decision."
unless you mean the "can" and "shall" made a huge difference.

the part I dont get is the whole "Dagda returns back to his true form" can anyone explain that?
RoninAngel2005 if i rember correct dagda used to not have a body he was all of nature and then he was put into a physical body and he hated it.
The gods (denounced as demons by YHVH) used to exist as part of the universe itself. They were forces of nature, like the falling rain, or the rising sun. When YHVH took power, he forced them into physical bodies and manipulated humans into perceiving them as false gods. Humanity's power of Understanding therefor made them into false gods. When you destroyed the universe and all of humanity with it, you allowed Dagda and his kind to return to their original states.
I prefer this ending over the other since it's dark and yet it's still considered neutral.

Dagda claims that friends and allies are a waste of time that you don’t need anyone and yet he revives you, in exchange that you help him. If he was saying the truth why not pull the old saying “if you want something done right you gotta it yourself” instead of bitching on Danu? Plus he allows you to have a team of demons and angels when he said shit like “my Godslayer will kill EVERY god and demon out there” it was Dagda’s fault to begin that Krishna was free from his seal. And even if you had refused to free him Dagda pulls a bitch move and FORCES you to free him
