My video doesn’t have a cut, it keeps on going and you’ll see my hand when i change reverb, sorry didnt get a chance to indicate and put it on time line of which reverb i was on. Hope that helps a bit. I’ll put a time line when i get a chance
A good ABY unit can be had for a modest outlay. I have a Mooer. Bought it for 2 guitars into 1 board but use it for 1 guitar into 2 boards. So: guitar - splitter - 2 pedals - 2 amps for stereo.
Nice review. I have one of these Mini-U's as well as well. I'm curious but if you plug in the Cloudburst or any Strymon, is the volume level on it also higher vs the Mini-U? One other question: does yours make a "popping" sound when turning it on?
To me volume wise i didnt notice any difference, its just the mini u’s doesnt have a pre delay which is important imo. But the volume on mini u’s is basically how loud you want your reverb and mix is how much you want to affect the signal. The mini U’s design to go In front of your amp that’s why it has a different level. And the strymon is send and return of an amp. But vise versa both great unit. Just the pre delay is missing on mini u’s.
I dont hear any popping sounds on my unit. But what i heard its on the high end parameter that when turn it down then you can get rid of it. But mine didnt have that.
I've tried POPs a few times... but not always... It depends on the power supply, but in the beginning the POP is a result. I opened the pedal and applied contact cleaner to the pedal... The POP was reduced but not removed... On other pedals, a 1M OHM resistor in parallel with the input jack solved this problem, but I haven't been able to try it yet do that. As soon as I get it, if it works I'll post the result here.
@@laprx1please keep us posted and link a video or write-up somewhere! I'd love to be able to resolve the issue on mine. Any ideas on how to add trails to the bypass switch so that it doesn't cut and kill the sound trail immediately when turning the footswitch off?
If you're referring to Strymon, the cloudburst is incomparable. The cloudburst's 'ensemble' feature alone makes it unique. To have the question ‘Can this be cloud burst killer?’ in the title is totally absurd and clickbait likely. Even without its ensemble feature, the cloudburst is vastly superior.
Excellent demo, thanks for posting this. I've been considering the Mini Universe . . . already have the Empress Echosystem and MOOER Ocean Machine, but compared to those much pricier devices, this is a remarkable pedal.
@@kornkorn78able So, remove the buttons from the pot's, the screw from the footswitch, the screws from the in and outputs. Then take out the four fixing side screws. On the lower side of the circuit, solder a small 1M/0,25w resistor to the hot and eart pins of the output jack, then assemble it. When you turn it on, it will pop at first time, but then after switching it on-off a few times the leak voltage will disapear on the resistance and the pedal will be usable (without pops) Use a separate power supply!!
Of course it's not a Strymon but for something which is a tenth of the price it can get you not only in the same ballpark but right next to the batsman---that's a cricket reference. Sorry I don't know the baseball equivalent!
Yeah i had a strymon and sold it. Only thing i love about strymon is the pre delay which this pedal doesnt have but it’s all good. The price you cant beat and you can add delay first then reverb.
I hope not cause people can’t afford their unit, the reason for this unit is so people that in the budget range can have a nice pedal without spending tons of money.
I have a Cloudburst (my absolute favorite pedal) but would still consider this as a traveller/back-up. But I am also the weirdo that most often uses my Cloudburst with an acoustic.
Great review,1,40 chords reminds me you can't kill rock n'roll by Ozzy Osbourne 👌
I wish you would have indicated which reverb you were playing!

Hello! Is it possible to get stereo sound from two pedals?
You can, but you gotta have a stereo output to split the signal, or if you have a stereo delay thats has 2 output you can use that.

My mini universe has a really loud and annoying "POP" when you press the foot switch.
Best thing to do with it is to get a switcher, so you can leave the reverb on and use the switcher to turn it on and off
I’m using a higher ampere isolated power supply. It really does eliminate the popping sound.
There is a fix video on how to solder two resistors on it. It works but you have to be adventurous.
Does this always make a popping sound when the PDT switch is turned on?
I dont hear any popping sounds on my unit. But what i heard its on the high end parameter that when turn it down then you can get rid of it. But mine didnt have that.
Run it through a noise suppressor to kill that problem. I got one of these pedals and was having the same issue. My noise suppressor fixed the issue.
@@deomartinez77 there you go! Mine i just dialed it down but other then that its a great unit i just wish they have added a pre delay.

Good demo, but with a reverb, it's essential to have a clean tone; even slight overdrive masks any artifacts the reverb may be producing.
In this video i was using the friedman ir-x i tried to dial in as clean as i can.
Sounds cool in a slightly lo fi way. Only $25?!?
Yes sir $25 only! Cant get wrong
dnt have reso to buy a strymons ..this is the closest i can be with those boutique peds^^

Take a look at the price, strymon is of course the #1 for some, but for some that cant afford this thing is very good tbh.
Hi. Can you save some preset on it?
Unfortunately you can’t, but you can have more for the price of it? You can have 3 or more

Mooer E7 vs Mini Universe?
How to solve the pedal popping sound?😢😢
I will figure it out. But i assumed that its has to do with the footswitch maybe? But i’ll find out
add a 1M resistor to the output of the pedal, after a while the popping will disappear
@@zsanetttundrahope9110 I would be very grateful if you could make a video explanation

If this has a pre delay parameter this would beat the strymon to be honest.
Pretty much the same in baseball, except we call them the batter.

For £25 who's complaining 👍
They’re complaining cause its not $300, of course its not gonna be close to cloud burst, but this is useful for some that can’t afford the burst.
This is not even close to the Cloudburst sound.
For how cheap it is, it's close enough.
