Bro. Been shaving my head using schick xtreme 3 for years and years. Only blade I will ever use
Honestly, I find three-bladed razors to be the best ones out there (I use the Mach 3). I like the ones with two blades, too. Anything more than three blades gives me irritation, man.
Best blade for the head. I cut large layer of my skin off with Gilette but never cut myself with this. I have coarse hair.
Your assessment of this razor is at least some-what confirmed. I would recommend, if you have not already tried, Gillette Mach3, because the razor/head is sharp and shave strokes are smooth. The flexing blades on the Schick Extreme-3 make for too much aggression, too much irritation, and clogging of the razor head.
I love the Schick Xtreme 3. Been using this since I started shaving my head in 1999. The Schick Xtreme 3 looked different then.
These were the first razors my mom bought me when I had to start shaving in high school. Back then they were a reusable handle and they sold the blades in packs. Idk if they've changed, but I used it for a long time just cause it was what I had and they were terrible. They clogged with stubble super easy and resulted in tons of nicks and cuts and irritation every time. Every few passes I would have to pick the stubble out of the blades. After trying lots of things I have finally settled on Bic Flex 4 with a Flex 2 for the upper lip and to clean up missed spots.
oh, and I noticed those hooks you drilled onto the wall; a quick tip to be able to utilize even more space, buy yourself a 3-5 hook hanger and hang over the bathroom door. You can buy a metal one, and it looks nice.

I think it looks good, and you didn't get any cuts or nicks, so that's good. I always use clippers to shave my head; I'm a bit timid I'm going to cut myself using a razor over my head, so I never have tried.
There's a slim risk of cutting yourself with a decent cartridge razor (e.g., Gillette). Plus, it's faster.
Give it a try but take your time when you shave your head with a razor and instead of using shaving cream use a moisturizing conditioner
Put some cocnut oil on face leave for 20 mins then wash off with warm water no soap put shaving gel on lather it up shave glides through like butter, cocnut oil is only oil that soaks into hair i was told works 4 me.
Headslick is the best cream

Why did you stop using conditioner instead of shaving cream?
I haven’t. I just trade them out from time to time. Especially, if I’m using products from a particular company I’ll use their shaving products for consistency.
I shave my face with a van der hagen safety razor.

When I found something else comparable to it. However, I still use conditioner from time to time and certainly recommend it far above store bought shaving creams.
I like these razors, the only downside is they'll cut without warning even if you're using them with ease, the bleeding will just erupt lol

Smells terrible, arguably takes longer than a quick shave, and, although I can't remember, I think it tends to burn.
@@MikeThePike316 the Yellow can don't stink and it's easy if you have experience with it. The shave last longer and gets much closer
I do think your criticisms are a little unfair. You are comparing a cartridge razor (Harry’s) to a disposable razor (Schick), made cheaply enough to be thrown away after a single use. Of course the cartridge razor would perform better.
That being said, I would like to see you try the Schick Quattro, the cartridge razor I used for years to shave my head. I found it to provide an extremely close shave.
No, I don't think it's unfair at all. Men want to know what performs well and what doesn't. That's the bottom line. It's important to know what whether you should be using one or the other on your head. These companies aren't going to delineate that. They just want you to buy. I've always found Schick to be a letdown and I was hoping that results would reveal a significant change

You should try the Gillette Single blade Guard; probably the best razor for the head. Might suggest Trader Joes MangoHoney shave cream, since you seem lo like non lathering creams. For my head/face: Schick is torture, not sharp enough, I only use Gillette brand razors with 3 or less blades. And for one week of growth, nothing comes close to a good old open comb single edge razor (new or vintage) with a nice sharp gillette blade.
I’ve never like single bladed razors for shaving the head. They just don’t seem to have enough to them to handle the workload. But then again, I haven’t tried everything that’s out there either
I shave with a K-Bar.
I shave my head and face immediately after a long warm shower every third day. Have been happy with schick xtreme 3 for many years. Refuse to use flexible triple blade from Gillette due to their woke advertising some time ago. I find more than three blades makes it impossible to get close shave under the nose. In Australia, Schick extreme 3 really is the best flexible triple blade available as we have very limited choice in this type of razor.
