This is great Joey! Did you borrow the bait/exercise mechanic from any kind of board game? I am a PE teacher and board game collector. I noticed your designer/euro games in the background of ones of your shows.
Haha! I love that you caught that! I did not: the bait choice mechanic came from a Pokémon game I developed in the spring (where they had to choose between Pokéball, Great Ball, or Master Ball). The scavenger hunt idea was inspired by a hide-and-seek, murder-themed game I played with my family once! I can't remember the name of it but you had to find clue cards hidden around the house and piece together what happened. The games you saw in that video were most likely my brother's who runs a board game course at his camp. He did introduce me to Wingspan though! It was my first engine-building game and I love it. I've been told to try Scythe next. Happy Teaching/Collecting!
@@ThePhysicalEducator Very cool! Yes, Wingspan is a great game. Scythe is very epic, but has a bit of a learning curve.
I think there are some great opportunities for board game / physical activity crossover. Here's to exploration and discovery!
