i think Spring day is the main example. You can listen and say "they are missing their girlfriend" when they never say something about "she" in this song lol when you try to understand the lyrics without this thinking of "boybands only do romantic songs" you can totally get the real meaning of it.
Anpanman (2018) is inspired by the fictional Japanese hero, Anpanman. Anpanman is BTS in their song. The hero looks like a normal person, someone far below average. He does not have any muscles or superpowers. All he has is a big heart. BTS is this generation's Anpanman.

To be honest, I wish you guys would have introduced more of their Love Yourself work. Their lyrics aren't just about the superficial love between a person and another person. They build up to this message of loving yourself, and how loving yourself is the truest love that must be reached first. Also introducing their work w/ UNICEF would have been nice too.
Well, their love songs are great too and also have amazing lyrics. But of course it's still important to acknowledge that BTS's lyrics are about many different important things.

@@valentinaacuervo2560 he's agreeing that not all armys are teens and most are earning adults. he's saying that army wouldn't have been able to match millions donated by bts if they were just teens.
Just to note for anyone not familiar with Anpanman: BTS' Anpanman is a reference to a very old children's comic turned animation made in Japan and extremely popular in Korea. Anpanman is the name of the hero made out of bread as the word pan means bread in Japanese as well as Korean and anpan itself meaning red bean bread. Thus why his name can not be translated.
That's why I don't really get the point of choosing this song for them to react to. I mean, it would make sense if someone explained to the elders who Anpanman is later on, but it doesn't look like it.
Spring Day deserved to be here that song is so beautiful and so sad lyrically. Also I wish you talked about what Anpaman is and how it's based off a superhero made of Anpan (bread) who breaks off pieces of himself to feed the hungry even if it hurts him. It's a metaphor for BTS having to give up parts of themselves to be famous and musicians.
I wish you could show them softer songs like Spring Day, Paradise, Sea, Magic Shop or Love Myself. Their lyrics aren’t only about love, they write about many different things from depression, mental health, woman empowerment, self love and many more. They really inspire me and many ARMY’s with their amazing lyrics. The new series of albums they released taught us that it’s important to love ourselves in order for us to love others. Kinda wished that they listened to not so mainstream songs, they're more pop, when BTS has much more meaning in there lesser known songs. Also I'd love a react to a BTS theory breakdown video, it'd help the elders realize how much meaning they put into their songs.
This video is absolutely amazing. Allowing others to see the true lyrics behind the songs without the automatic stereotype of kpop was truly a wonderful thing and i think this video is also allowing others to realize the truth behind the fandom so thank you for this amazing video.
Their messages in their songs, crazy theories, dances, vocals and more are some of the things that made people ARMYs. Their looks are just additional bonus points. IT IS THEIR SONGS THAT HOOKED ME UP
I appreciate this video but it would have been nice if you guys had asked some ARMYs to give song requests that fully show off BTS' artistry! These songs have great messages too but the choices especially in terms of lyrics could have been better.
Look, I understand that it’s not a popular song of theirs, but Whalien 52 has such a deep meaning and a lot of research went into that song. I would love if they reacted to that song
I'm glad that they think that BTS' lyrics are really meaningful. I'm glad that BTS is really out there, even elders like them. I not only like their songs because they're so catchy, I love them so much because of the meaningful lyrics they have in it.
Thank you so much for this lyrics breakdown, i think its' important for people to see the meanings behind the songs too, besides the awesome actual songs and performances :)
I like how open minded most people here are. When you read BTS' lyrics without telling anyone that they are a boyband or "kpop", there is a positive reaction. But the stigma that comes with both of these labels is what turns a lot of people to unfairly conclude that their music is just for the masses and so many people deem 'boyband' fans' taste in music is somewhat less valuable and BTS aren't really true artists. It's what "girls like", specifically teen girls. I've never liked kpop or boybands but I like BTS, and I hope more people will listen to them and their full albums without prejudice. I think their title tracks have more mainstream appeal yes, but no one is noticing how people are listening to their full albums and buying their old music when they first get into BTS. BTS both write and produce their music and this is another thing that sets them apart.
i picked up on that. she literally liked some of the lyrics before too- but after knowing who the group is and seeing the visuals, it's like she lost all ability to see bts in an unbiased way
The variety of meaningful song lyrics by BTS is outstanding. This video could've been hours long. I wish they did this with the Answer songs that have the self love message like Idol, Epiphany and Love Myself.
This makes me happy👏👏see it’s not just for fangirls and the younger generation. BTS really can reach out to many different people. Young, older, all different backgrounds, and genders. BTS is for anybody who gives it a chance to listen
I like how elderly people are able to analyze the lyrics in their own way so that we could have--what I feel like--what would be a thoughtful standpoint on it. It's wonderful to hear their opinions on my favorite Kpop group, and I'm really glad that they find BTS so appealing and creative--because they are!
aw i wish they showed them the lyrics to some of their more profound songs that tackle things like depression and mental health. nonetheless thank you so much for this!!

"I'm glad they're here cuz they bring something special." That woman said it right ❤
" I can see why the GURLZ like them "
my straight brother says hi.
I'M SURPRISED THEY DIDN'T SHOW SPRING DAY LYRIC
Kinda wished that they listened to not so mainstream songs, they're more pop, when BTS has much more meaning in there lesser known songs. Also I'd love a react to a BTS theory breakdown video, it'd help the elders realize how much meaning they put into their songs.
This video is absolutely amazing. Allowing others to see the true lyrics behind the songs without the automatic stereotype of kpop was truly a wonderful thing and i think this video is also allowing others to realize the truth behind the fandom so thank you for this amazing video.
i wish they would see bts songs as more than just love songs.
I know right. I have always interpreted Blood Sweat and Tears to be about music.
Their messages in their songs, crazy theories, dances, vocals and more are some of the things that made people ARMYs. Their looks are just additional bonus points. IT IS THEIR SONGS THAT HOOKED ME UP
*WHY IS EVERYONES ANSWER SO DEEP?*
THEIR MUSIC VIDEOS HAVE ENG SUB.. that has correct meaning and interpretation as it is from BIGHIT themselves. So like.. What u doing
Definitely not a typical boy band formula.
I wished they used more of their deeper songs like Spring Day, 2!3!, Young Forever, or Answer: Love Myself
I appreciate this video but it would have been nice if you guys had asked some ARMYs to give song requests that fully show off BTS' artistry! These songs have great messages too but the choices especially in terms of lyrics could have been better.
when you can tell what songs they are just by the english translation
Look, I understand that it’s not a popular song of theirs, but Whalien 52 has such a deep meaning and a lot of research went into that song. I would love if they reacted to that song
Yesss
I'm glad that they think that BTS' lyrics are really meaningful. I'm glad that BTS is really out there, even elders like them. I not only like their songs because they're so catchy, I love them so much because of the meaningful lyrics they have in it.
“I could see why the girls like them”
h o n e y
😂😂 same same
: D you’re not alone😂
I just realized how deep all their songs are.
I think you should do part 2. Ehm i suggest Spring day, Love Myself, I'm fine, Epiphany, The Truth Untold. The meanings are just unbelievable.
“I would buy their CD” honey I dedicated a bookcase to them😂
Thank you so much for this lyrics breakdown, i think its' important for people to see the meanings behind the songs too, besides the awesome actual songs and performances :)
In my old days, we listen to a thing called BTS
i wished they did spring day, the song with the most hidden meanings.
“typical boyband formula” are you kidding me
it’s obviously not if other boy bands can’t even get as many fans as the do 💀
Veronica Torres and the main reason for that is bc of their music and their message.
oh vale exactly #army 💜
I know that's her personally opinion but like, really?? Why did she have to stoop that low.
“It’s like typical boyband formula”
Ok, respectable opinion for someone who just see them with no deeper perspective of what their music really means
Just demonstrating why the phrase ok boomer was made lmao
i picked up on that. she literally liked some of the lyrics before too- but after knowing who the group is and seeing the visuals, it's like she lost all ability to see bts in an unbiased way
The variety of meaningful song lyrics by BTS is outstanding. This video could've been hours long. I wish they did this with the Answer songs that have the self love message like Idol, Epiphany and Love Myself.
When they read Ampanman I could sense how are of them realised how deep the message was.
I wish spring day, the truth untold, butterfly, paradise, wings, tear, her and lost was on here 😢
Squishy Bangtan OH YEAH 😭
@jisoo did that yeah but I like the lyrics from those songs. That's what I mentioned them
This makes me happy👏👏see it’s not just for fangirls and the younger generation. BTS really can reach out to many different people. Young, older, all different backgrounds, and genders. BTS is for anybody who gives it a chance to listen
Anpanman and dope sweetie I'm so sorry they would ever consider you a love song when you both are more meaningful than that
I like how elderly people are able to analyze the lyrics in their own way so that we could have--what I feel like--what would be a thoughtful standpoint on it. It's wonderful to hear their opinions on my favorite Kpop group, and I'm really glad that they find BTS so appealing and creative--because they are!
Can you do a full lyric break down of BTS’s Spring Day? And or Save Me? Maybe Baepsae/ Silver Spoon?
Run, I NEED U & Butterfly too pls!
Please, let any generation react to Namjoon's speech at the United Nations
aw i wish they showed them the lyrics to some of their more profound songs that tackle things like depression and mental health. nonetheless thank you so much for this!!
clementine it'd be great for them to react to the lyrics of i need u and the original music video as you can see how the lyrics play out in the music video how they need someone to hold them up
Man I really wanted the QUEEN HERSELF Spring Day to be shown but it’s whatever
Yes!! Spring Day would've been a great one to show! Spring Day has such beautiful lyrics.
"Hey, maybe after this, he's gonna jump off a bridge."
*Flashbacks to Tae jumping off a balcony*
Well he ain't that far off--
That's what I was thinking xD
"these guys are.. they're just hot" IKEFSD
He know's what's going on, lol
