Chiropractors in the United States are required to complete a Doctor of Chiropractor (DC) degree in order to practice. This degree is on par with an MD or a PhD. Slightly longer answer? Yes, chiropractors are doctors of chiropractic medicine and are considered physicians. A chiropractor has a doctorate degree, which is why you will see “DC” (Doctor of Chiropractic) after their names. As such they can call themselves doctors.

The degree is on par in what way? Chiropractic medicine is pseudoscience. I don’t see the value in holding a doctorate degree in nonsense.

That’s like saying because I started my own ghost hunting school and called the degree a “doctorate of ghost hunting”, and now that I’ve graduated my own ghost hunting school I’m a medical doctor

@@xawesome1992x Chiropractors don't go to medical school, and are not licensed by the medical board in any country.
They like to call themselves doctors because the word "doctor" is not a protected title in many places. The same way that a doctor of literature can technically call themselves a doctor.
Fun history lesson: "Chiropractic" was invented by one guy called D.D. Palmer who believed healing energy traveled through nerves, and that misaligned bones stopped the healing energy flow through nerves. He also believed in magnetic healing. He also believed that he received the power of chiropractic from "the other world" from a dead physician.

Nice complete but thorough basic scan. Much more inclusive than even some othervActivator videos not really following official ACMT ptmrotocols incl. Leg checks. Retired chiropractor formally using and receiving official ACMT adjustments. However I'm afraid I'm still old school you youngings like all the technology and some of the more middle age practices are even falling into that too. Hopefully you have a good working activative2- 4 handy just in case! 😆 However I'm afraid I'm still old school and against all the technology some of the even more middle aged practitioner are falling into that too.You cannot rely on them solely. One rationalization istheyvarec less taxing on the body -the doctor's body that is. However if you ever did diversified, motion palpation, or Palmer, that is really taxing on the body. I still have two Activator 1 adjusting instruments that work fine.

@@tomjoad8272 I take it your remark is endorsing the new automatic Activator instrument . Why would you then use the word or metaphor toy that would be demeaning to your own purpose. Once again my comment was based on my experience and my opinion whatever that might mean to you from somebody that was 70 years old when they made that comment and a chiropractor for over 30 yrs. Let's get more professional now. What I would recommend then in having discourse with someone that has a different opinion about practice philosophy or instrumentation use. I would use the word instrumentation to justify that you have a valid and viable form of effective therapy. You might have also taken my comment that was somewhat truthful but humorous as well to degrade or question the efficacy of the new activator 5. That was not my intent I was just giving solid common sense Instructions to protect your integrity and the reliability of your practice and services encase your Activator V malfunctions. The unit is so expensive that it's difficult to have a spare sitting around just in case. An older manual assist Activator instrument will allow you still to continue the care of your patients even though some may not be used to that old model because of you introducing this newer method. If you're an Activator doctor and you have a reliable patient base some people we're getting Activator treatments for many years. They may remember the manual models and someone might even prefer them, but don't say anything to you. So I hope you consider that. It's for the benefit of your reputation and effectiveness and the overall health and progress of your patience.
