Literally what makes them think that he's obligated to tell them he's trans in the first place- he doesnt have to tell them everything just because theyre his friends, its his choice on whether or not he wants to tell them at all, whether theyre accepting or not. If he's a boy they shouldn't be calling him his dead name, he has refered to him as a boy with them, why would he call him with that name. I get that Katsuki is not the most opened caracter but that doesn't mean that he should open up to his friends about things that only concern him and his family. In case that he felt like doing it, he could explain it to them, but if not they are nobody to know.
They shouldn't have gotten upset over not telling them he's trans. like if they were really friends they would understand why he didn't tell them they wouldn't be like yelling at him, Its his choice not to tell his friends or not, I came out to my friends and they said they support me and they didn't rush me at all to tell them my sexuality, (everyones is perfect the way you are no matter what gender or sexuality or ever if u don't go by a gender your still perfect the way you are! I relate it’s HIS choice to not say they don’t know the reason why he became trans in to my opinion I think he got abuse as Katsumi and changed his personality into something stronger and quieter and stopped being social
Y’know it’s messed up that they’re so upset that he didn’t tell them that he was trans. It’s not something anyone should be obligated to do. I’ve had a somewhat simililar experience (of people acting like I have to come out to them), my mom is supportive and everything but she seems to have it in her head that LGBTQIA+ people should come out to their parents because their parents should know and that if the person knows that their parents are okay with it, then they should come out no problem… I’m a semi-closeted nonbinary and was absolutely pissed because even if she thinks there isn’t a problem, it’s still difficult, because after you come out, they know, and you don’t know if that’ll effect your relationship or if they’ll refer to you right (in my case) or even try to understand…
