Really good presentation video of the FXBB ! I watched it twice before commenting. I’ve a couple of questions as my Softail Standard is on its way : 1. I love your touring setup, thinking of getting the same. Could you tell me where you got that fender protector plate installed in lieu of the rear seat? I’ll be running solo as well. 2. I’ve ordered my FXST with forwards as well. Could you please give me your inseam and/or overall height ? (I’m 6’ even) Thanks again for your informative video, lots of info in 6 minutes ! (Subscribed !)
Thanks for watching and subscribing we really appreciate it. To answer your question starting with the rear fender pad, I ordered mine from "Drag Specialties" for the FXBB and reference part number : 1405-0279 and take some measurements if you can from the solo seat fastener to the rear seat fastener on the fender, to make sure it will fit the FXST. I'm pretty sure they have measurements under the product description if you order from their site, but check to have a better idea. (If you notice my fender pad is not an exact fit to the back of the seat, it bothered me a little but with your luggage on you wont notice it.) Also, along with the rear fender pad (which is called a "rear fender bib" to make your search easier as I just found out about this product myself) is the inclusion of a roll of removable protective tape to go under the pad itself. The tape is clear in appearance and gives the fender an extra layer of protection from dirt, debris and overall movement from your luggage to not scratch your fender paint. If you install the rear fender bib, you will see it has a soft lining underneath but personally I like the idea of having extra protection for the paint from prolonged use. The tape I use is from "Saddlemen" and reference part number 4320-0807 if you choose to go with that option. Lastly, my overall height is about 5'9" with an inseam of about 32" in regards to your forward control question. We will put out a new video soon talking about the rear fender bib install and also I plan to add throw over saddle bags to the bike for more carrying capacity for the new riding season. Let us know if you have any other questions and how you like the new FXST, stay tuned and ride safe out there.
@@JefLeFloch the fxbb and the fxst are identical bikes except for a few little things like the fork dust covers which i personally don't like and the fxbb comes witha usb port and the fxst does not. Like you I have the FXST, and it was almost $3000 less then the street bob, also what I like better is the sort of ghost HD tank emblem instead of the HD badge on the tank. So in short, all parts that fit late model Street Bob will fit 2020 Softail Standard. I have on mine Dean Speed Customs handlebars, sissybar, rear slider/foot peg, and 2 inch tank lifters, VH big shots with 1st stage and tuned
@@jeffstange9183 I finally received my FXST two weeks ago, after an 8 month wait ! Absolutely loving it 😍 I've already put on over 900 miles, so it's headed for the shop Tuesday for the breaking service. (predicted 30 degrees F⛄️) I've already installed a Saddlemen Renegade LS (very comfortable from the get-go), and ordered the fender bib you mentioned above. I wish I could put on V&H Eliminators, but as the 2021 HDs here in Europe are Euro5, they put sniffers in the mufflers... waiting for V&H to offer a solution. Thanks for your update ! I'm interested in your handlebar setup : got a pic ?
@@JefLeFloch wow, you had to wait 8 months?! I'm not that good with computers, haven't figured out a way to put a pic with a message, but if you check out AZ triumpster youtube, he has the same bars I have, they are called the "Skinnys" he first had a set of tbars, , or you can go to Dean Speed Customs web site and see their whole line of handle bars
The license plate assembly is actually stock and the light is in there. On the softail street bob you don’t have to relocate it for this particular sissy bar. Thanks for watching!
It is hard to find decent sounding pipes for the m8 that won’t void the warranty. We can all thank the epa as this was a direct result of their extortion against HD. We put s&s grand nationals on our street glide and they too were very quiet (with the db killers removed). Thank you for watching!
Glad to see a guy put the foward control pegs on his StreetBob
I love my 2018 107 Street Bob, very competent good handling motorcycle.👍
The Harley mustache engine guard would look great on your scoot.
Perfect do-it-all bike. This how you mod a Street Bob, Gentlemen.

Did you need to get a tuner for those slip ons?
No we didn’t use a tuner. If it was a full exhaust we would have needed one. Thank you for watching!
Where was the license plate holder from, how did you terminate the rear plate light?

Very nice! I’m jealous, I put the screaming eagle hd mufflers on my soft tail std, yours sounds a hell of a lot better!(
