as a darkest dungeon fan, i love how weird priest gregor is, he's the flagellant essentially, down to the fact where if you lean into the masochism too far, there is a good chance he'll just die, 10/10 can't wait for dulcinea id
The really high stagger bar is exactly to mitigate the self bleed, he staggers himself super early on in the fight then that's done, he can just heal back and run around with a bunch of def and no stagger bar to worry about
He's kinda like the extreme version of Harpooner Heathcliff, another tank ID with a high stagger bar threshold that you want to get rid early to take full advantage of his gimmick (more damage at low HP) without worrying about staggering.
I went to noon of violet and got filial love when i had bloody mist S1 gave me 50 potency 3 count and so the rest of the floor i had to treat him like a coughing baby until i got to next floor and could get rid of filial love
maybe they made his kit to be like his uptie story? He wants to hold back by just guarding the first few turns until he has enough ailing heart to sustain himself hold back against the thirst for blood for so long until he reaches that breaking point
goes further with his s3 aswell he wants to hold back against that unforgivable sin for so long that once it gets released its at full power maybe im just over analyzing though
I mean, yeah, that's exactly what they did, it's kinda crystal clear with "ailing heart" and "bloodied hands", he flagellates himself on S1 and S2 to uphold the clarity of his mind and then at some point goes insane to regain blood to survive, being stuck in a cycle of regret and anger just to keep alive.
Some words of advice from someone who LOVES this playstyle and thinks this ID is seriously powerful (not the speedrun kind of powerful, the never dies kind of powerful): -This ID greatly benefits from extra slots, mostly because you get to use his Guard to accelerate the gimmick, once he has all that Aching Heart he stops spending so much bleed on s2 and starts healing so much when low on health... I think it would be fun to run a bleed team where I double slot him and Outis -Speaking of his Guard, it's the reason fighting against bleed isn't so bad, you can spend a bunch of it by doing the Guard once per turn then clash the rest away -You do in fact want him to lose his stagger threshold as soon as possible and then fight that way. Bloodfiends greatly benefit from longer fights in general, and in modes where your health carries over (like MD) it might be a good idea to NOT heal him above his stagger threshold, so that he doesn't have to deal with it ever again (sitting at around 50% is surprisingly safe with just how much health and defense he has) -Even if the damage gets out of control... if you can get to 5 lust, he has an unrelenting passive, this combined with how much his S3 heals on use can bring him back even from the worst situations If this ID has any weaknesses is that his s1 isn't anything special, the damage in general isn't notable (outside of s3) and that without proper care the bleed could get out of control, what you get in exchange is an unkillable unit that feeds into the Bloodfeast mechanic while also applying some decent bleed, and it makes me look forward to what the full Bloodfiend team will look like.
His main weakness is that he don't go very well if you play him like that with Barber Outis too. He great to generate Bloodfeast but you want to avoid using block skill in that case.
Another note, if he's losing too much to bleed count, it may be worth having Fanghunt Hong Lu on support. His passive is charged by the current La Mancha IDs and allows you to drop the count by 2 without taking damage, potentially stopping him from becoming like Cassetti in that one cutscene in Murder on the WARP Express.
@magikazam8430 He can still generate a lot of Bloodfeast with s1, so if you use s1 to get low and then s3 to heal all the way back you can still play him in a way that works with Outis, and then you can spend excess on s2. I agree with you that it gets awkward because they're both spending Bloodfeast, but in my opinion the healing and defense buffs you get on Ailing Heart make up for it. You still get the choice of which way you want to play it, so either way he has options, which is always appreciated. PS: I forgot to talk about it but the Combat Start healing on Guard is a desperation play and should be avoided when possible to preserve Bloodfeast, it's best to heal with the Aching Heart effect instead
Yeah I should had Guarded more This ID seems divided some people saying they like it Some saying it's trash I like it since it's unique and different from normal
Fun fact, his guard helps a lot. It helps enable his s2 so he can use his own self bleed to jump his stacks to tier 3 really fast as he can immediately consume his 50 plus bleed
At least PM had the dull to give him a one time death null passive. That really helps a lot especially since by then you won't have a stagger threshold to worry about.
He's more like a bloodfiend support with some sustain potential tbh, that self-bleed and his high health+stagger really suggest a bloodfeast generator, though having him being staggered for 1 turn to fully maximize his longevity really leans more into long fights, which I guess is fine now that chain battles are the norm?
For some reason, this makes me glad because while finishing canto 7, during the battle against the trio bloodfiends. My instinct just tell me to attack the Barber first, then move to the Priest, and eventually Dulcinea. Looking at the fact that he's some berserker tank would've been dangerous to my sink bleed team.
It's very possible to kill the Priest first: that's what I did, actually. Still, I can say that Barber first is definitely more efficient after I ran it back-- seeing everyone deal with Barber first made me realize "hmm, perhaps I should *not* rush down the new guy"
He left me with crippled Edgar Gregor (14 hp, 48 bleed potency with 8 count) and Wild Hunt Heathcliff (-5 sp from constant ego usage, just not to die). Hella berserker, that's true

@serminimus1 i didn't avoid it just either brute force it by spamming ego or spam his guard until i can use K corp hong lu passive then unga bunga. btw i use rupture, poise and charge ego gift here not bleed
Tried him in MDH. Absolutely amazing unit. If you finish fight with his HP lower that his stagger threshold, even if he didn't staggered, in the next fight he has no stagger threshold, and you end up having unit with 241 HP and no stagger threshold which is kinda nuts. With all self-bleed boosted by EGO gifts he generates Bloodfeast insanely fast, and with just one S3 he can heal almost half of his HP. I can't wait for other Bloodfiend units for him to support, BarbOutis got MVP on damage with RingSang in team (tbf she was deployed first, but considering how bonkers is RingSang damage it's still impressive imo).
I think just by watching, you should play him like how the boss fight was, ie by guarding to reduce self bleed and to allow him to gain those charge stuff without needing to add more bleed. Especially its probably similar to Peqcliff, using his counter from time to time is actually great
Might be wrong here, but i feel like he is very uptie 4 dependant so you can attack and get the self bleed first turn and then block turn 2 so you are garanteed to be around 50% for turn 3 big burst. He could be a great support for other bloodletters by enabling them turn 1 with the blood count and then enabling himself turn 2 with the block, the classic "pendulum-tank"
He’s good but definitely belongs with his brothers and sisters in the bloodfiend club. His primary purpose is to produce a consistent means of obtaining blood feast, without the need of enemies at a high rate. He’s got many ways of healing himself and is capable of masking up quicker with defense skill, but then he begins to eat at blood feast, so he’s an interesting balancing act of healing, tanking and support for your fellow fiends.
Is it just me, or i just think he love drinking his own *Ketchup* cuz the boss is a infection rusty nail inside them, a wooding doll, a tree, depressed Samurai and *ketchup* but hard at crystal xD

It's deploy order and then you deploy one less So if there is 6 slots to deploy you deploy 5 IDs and the first deployed gets a second slot You can keep doing that to get even more slots The problem is that you will have less attack at the beginning of combat So if you deploy 1 ID you will get all 6 slots but start of with 1

imagine these are in bl issue where they need their version of bl mentor meursalt. maybe this seasons don id might change things or maybe an id before that
depends, if you're just needing a good id in general then characters like Warp Don, N Corp Sinclair, Cinq Sinclair and Meursault, BL Meursault, Pequod Ishmael (not as good but is able to do funny things with her Skill 2), and a few others can be useful. If you're asking for a specific team setup, then don't do tremor, sinking (kinda), rupture or burn since either most of the good ids were last season and can't be sharded, are Walpurgis and you would have to wait to be able to get them, or is Rupture. My recommendation for a certain Status to build is either Poise with Blade Lineage Meursault, BL Yi Sang (Uptie 4 specifically), and Pequod Ishmael for the main carries and focus on getting pride resonance, the other is go for a Warp Charge team with all the W Corp Ids except for maybe Faust or Meursault and replace them with R Corp Heathcliff for his Skill 3.
That usually depends on what you want If you want to get ready for RR5 then try getting some characters that don't need anyone else And can win Clashes on their own Like Cinq IDs they just need speed and they provived it themself If you are looking for a good and quick team to clear MD I use Bleed so getting a full Bleed team will be great Since Bloody Mist gives +2 Coin Power and +100% Damage dealt Which is really good for quickly clearing MDs

I used him on MD today and he always seem to be in a brink of death- Fun gimmick though, but I want to see how he fares when the rest of the Bloodfiend IDs are released.

I am not going to lie I kinda just brute forced it The only strat I used is that I focused mainly the Barber first then Priest then Dulcy Also I used Bleed, Don't know if that helps
I just juggled their hp to stagger them before they use their most dangerous attacks. Note that Dulcinea swaps into her aggresive, more dangerous moveset after barber dies, whereas her buffs are easy to clash and gain sp from, so don't just rush barber immediately.
Honestly his kit makes sense to some extent if we think of other tanks with high stagger bars like harpooner, who get staggered turn 1 for having no more stagger bars later on, the only issue being that he DEPLETES HIS HP HIMSELF, making sometimes him drop below 1 all by himself, while also not gaining much from it unlike shi ids or harpooner. That's the biggest issue. Like, you trade off your 80% hp for measily nothing in return other than bloodfeast stacks (except, why not finally give us a good count application on an id so you don't have to hurt urself as much, but rather get it from the enemies bleeding?). He's clunky and kinda not worth it again. Gregor getting another L in terms of an ID is an utter disappointment.
He hurts his self and gives blood feast so that the other bloodfiend IDs don’t have to worry about a enemies as much since he’s giving them blood also him bleeding himself isn’t that big of a issue since his defense skill and his s3 heal him plus his passive that doesn’t allow him to die

@serminimus1 i didn't avoid it just either brute force it by spamming ego or spam his guard until i can use K corp hong lu passive then unga bunga. btw i use rupture, poise and charge ego gift here not bleed
I can't believe we finally got a 3 star Shi ID.
Especially its probably similar to Peqcliff, using his counter from time to time is actually great
Finally, Gregor has a good ID
just another jigsaw piece to the soon to be new bleed team
im gonna predict the next new id will solve this problem
Serminimus is 3 Am here, in any case hope you´re doing well
3 am here too
Boudary of Death? Shi ids are back!
Might be wrong here, but i feel like he is very uptie 4 dependant so you can attack and get the self bleed first turn and then block turn 2 so you are garanteed to be around 50% for turn 3 big burst. He could be a great support for other bloodletters by enabling them turn 1 with the blood count and then enabling himself turn 2 with the block, the classic "pendulum-tank"
my son, he is sick.
you know what? we might not get any shi asso event anytime soon, so i'll settle for this
He’s good but definitely belongs with his brothers and sisters in the bloodfiend club. His primary purpose is to produce a consistent means of obtaining blood feast, without the need of enemies at a high rate. He’s got many ways of healing himself and is capable of masking up quicker with defense skill, but then he begins to eat at blood feast, so he’s an interesting balancing act of healing, tanking and support for your fellow fiends.
self-bleed meta
Is it just me, or i just think he love drinking his own *Ketchup* cuz the boss is a infection rusty nail inside them, a wooding doll, a tree, depressed Samurai and *ketchup* but hard at crystal xD
Could be useful for gaining bloodfeast depending on how much the other bloodfiend ids will rely on it for their skills.
Did a solo with him earlier and ended up spamming his skill 1 at the end of fights to keep his health below the stagger threshold and then heal it up start of next fight. 10/10 id second one to make me stop and think like Suncliff
Hey, uh, I think the title/description of this video is accidentally re-used from a previous one? Unless RUclips is gaslighting me...
Cassette guy
Sorry I went to sleep since it was 3am and forgot to change it
i sure am glad that i shard ringsang instead of him.
Wait, how do you manage additional attack slot? Is it the order of placement thing or what?
It's deploy order and then you deploy one less
So if there is 6 slots to deploy
you deploy 5 IDs and the first deployed gets a second slot
You can keep doing that to get even more slots
The problem is that you will have less attack at the beginning of combat
So if you deploy 1 ID you will get all 6 slots but start of with 1
I love Gregor ❤️❤️❤️
gregor trying to get a fucking good ID for once in his life (Ik its good but god damn he has so many ids that are either decent or have some sort of 'but' tied to them)
imagine these are in bl issue where they need their version of bl mentor meursalt. maybe this seasons don id might change things or maybe an id before that
Guys i know the comment is outta the theme but any suggestions on good character i should shard?
depends, if you're just needing a good id in general then characters like Warp Don, N Corp Sinclair, Cinq Sinclair and Meursault, BL Meursault, Pequod Ishmael (not as good but is able to do funny things with her Skill 2), and a few others can be useful.
That usually depends on what you want
If you want to get ready for RR5 then try getting some characters that don't need anyone else
And can win Clashes on their own
Like Cinq IDs they just need speed and they provived it themself
If you are looking for a good and quick team to clear MD
I use Bleed so getting a full Bleed team will be great
Since Bloody Mist gives +2 Coin Power and +100% Damage dealt
Which is really good for quickly clearing MDs
@@jacobdraconic5358 about bl meursault, i have cinq meursault he us both rupture and poise and i ut4 him i think he is pretty good, i have a bleed team, a rupture team and (somewhat) sinking team and a charge team and the only sinner i use rarely is sinclair (except for his talisman passive) so i was thinking of like ring yi sang since he is undoubtedly op
@@serminimus1 i too use a bleed team, consisting of fishmael, peqoud yi sing, red mist ryoshu, la mancha land outis and middle don Quixote should i build something with poise?
@@aleheik Being completly honest Poise/Bleed team is currently the strongest
But it's kinda of a overkill all you need really is just Bleed
Poise/Bleed just deletes everything
If you want to try it
BL Meursault is kinda the hero there so that is the one you should get first
But if you want to keep Just Bleed
Ring Yi Sang is considered the Best ID in the game for a reason
He is ridicuously Strong to the Point PMoon tried to nerf him but people said no
So they backed off
So if you want to buff your Bleed Team then Ring Yi Sang is the Choice
Surely there's gonna be an ID with a gimmick involving heavy amounts of HP Loss and HP Gained.
If not then I guess Gregor is here just to help with the Bloodfeast stacking, 40 Bleed per turn is a lot when you haven't even began stacking Bleed.
On the final boss i did like 1175 with just the fist coin of the s3
I used him on MD today and he always seem to be in a brink of death-
Fun gimmick though, but I want to see how he fares when the rest of the Bloodfiend IDs are released.
At least if he got staggered and survives, he never get staggered again
Upd: also, how did you make non poise id's generate so much poise? I'll been trying so long to do it but even with all the gifts they dont generate it much.
Nebulizer gives 5/5 at the start of the fight
At ++ if you get 2 Pride you get another 3/3
Clover gives 5/3 if you crit the previous turn
And Horse shoe gives 3 Count everyturn
There is a couple more but these are the main ones I want to focus
Then you get Cigarette Holder and FInifugality and you get +4 Clash Power
And you get another +5 From Clear Mirror++
Bloody mist is causing him to bleed more? Wtf
Imagine if it caused him to apply a extra count stack
1 Skill 100 HP
Hi Serminimus
Hello
countered? again?
Sorry I went to sleep and forgot to change the tittle
Id epic
Why did he got so much bleed??? He gains 25 with S1 and 20 with S2 on use. Some Ego gift affects this gained ammount???
Bloody Mist double Bleed applied
It affects himself
It's a gregor id, what else can you say
I think we will have dulcinea as rodion and a sancho id for don
100% we are getting a Dulcinea Rodion ID and Sancho I can’t wait to see how all four of them function as a team
Is it just me or the title and the description is literally similar with the previous video 😂
Thanks I forgot to change before going to bed
Ay boss any tips on how to beat the bloodfiend trio?
I am not going to lie I kinda just brute forced it
The only strat I used is that I focused mainly the Barber first then Priest then Dulcy
Also I used Bleed, Don't know if that helps
kill Barber first and don't clash with Dulcinea's buff moves
@@serminimus1 ah tnx
I just juggled their hp to stagger them before they use their most dangerous attacks. Note that Dulcinea swaps into her aggresive, more dangerous moveset after barber dies, whereas her buffs are easy to clash and gain sp from, so don't just rush barber immediately.
Ego spam should make the fight easy tbh, just save enough for the next 2 fights lol
Its all fun and games when enemy's skill effect giving bleed count 😂
NOT AGAIN!!!
Maybe it will be better when other Bloodfiend IDs drop
Dulcy will probably be more of a support ID
He hurts his self and gives blood feast so that the other bloodfiend IDs don’t have to worry about a enemies as much since he’s giving them blood also him bleeding himself isn’t that big of a issue since his defense skill and his s3 heal him plus his passive that doesn’t allow him to die
the reason why his stagger threehold is short
because he Want you to staggered him once,so that he will never stagger again, and then you freely control whatever you like with how his hp bar goes
