Good jog guys. Can you explain more about the calculations and purpose of the 2116A? Also, I can't see all the lights but it sounded to me that the lights are LEDs that illuminate when the specific processor Registers Read or Write and when Address and IO lines are asserted. Is this correct? IE- We can see the LED light when those lines and registers are used!!? Very cool!
The 2116A was fundamentally a control computer for measurement systems and monitoring of processes. The front lights were NOT LED lights, they were/are small individual incandescent light bulbs each with it's own individual holder. Each row of lights indicated a different CPU register and the switches were actually also a register of the CPU that was manually set (also called the "switch-register" which later became known as the "S-register" The 2116A was a great computer to learn basics of digital process because the interactions between registers could be monitored (to actually watch the core OS functioning).
Nice work David & Jon. Keep them coming!
I hope you guys show more of what is in the collection!

So when are the new videos coming?
Hi. I have one HP 1000 E series. Do you know about someone who could repair that computer?
Thanks
