Little Clarification because i think i didnt elaborated enough on it. The Shelling does Fixed Damage + Inherited fire Damage which gets stronger with certain factors like heatblade, Shelling Level / Type etc...~ so your explosions will basically always do a certain amount of Fire damage by default and the reason why damage can fluctuate between monsters depending on their resistence.
having gone through all the moveset videos i've realized that, with the exception of the switch axe, the sunbreak versions of the weapons are generally stronger than their frontier counterparts, even in extreme style
I mean Rise is just like Frontier focused on a more fast paced combat style with extreme style. But nonethless Rise is 5th gen cant really compare them both.
@@SephVII- i was mostly comparing them because one of the main arguments about putting frontier monsters in the main series is that they would have to be toned down due to hunters being weaker when in reality that isn't really the case anymore. yes, the next monster hunter game will probably be toned down from rise and sunbreak like how world was toned down from generations and generations ultimate, but the game after will probably see another increase in power, if the current trend of monster hunter games continues.
i love gunlance in the world to death, but for some reason i just cant get into the flow of gunlance in mhf. something about not being able to combo out of the vertical smack just feels bad, wish we could go from that into an unload like in world. but maybe you're supposed to just slap and shell without any fancy combos?
Frontier GL>>GL in mainline except 3U,World and Rise,it didnt got much love from mainline devs smh I am glad Frontier's team gave very possible tweaks for GL
@@SephVII-I am currently pushing through high rank and its still not full of powercreep so far XD But its grindy for sure,my current sets took me 2 weeks(I play 3 hours per day) and i still haven't finish it

A nice thing about the horizontal sweep is that it cannot bounce
True theres a bunch of attacks here and there which dont bounce and sometimes i just forget mentioning it lol
Thx for the video it help my gameplay alot.
Thank you Seph! Real quick, does the bonus shell damage you get from the quick reload effect the full unload attack after the swipe?
nay it enchances 1 Bullet only when you unload them only one of them will be stronger
@@SephVII- Ok, so me shooting one shell, quick reload, swipe, then unload isn't wasting anything then? If it's still boosting one of those shots?
Technically ye
Nice videos bro
Gunlance is funlance
An On "Brent" thing to say got it 😏 ?

Yeah I’ve been having the same problem. Love the gunlance so much, but in this game…. It feels really, really garbage.
So, can Storm style's heat blade shells do status damage if your gunlance has status
never tested element for sure status no idea.

Frontier did alot of cool stuff ye even with the powrcreep and hyper monster gameplay reputation
