It's Japanese style -de gozaru.
It'd be lonely to have a game without a Asian sort of song. (laughs)
It's a light and fun song, which is very rare for me (no, really).
Fashionable (really?).
It reads "Ouka no Koizuka". It's original Japanese, or semi-Japanese?
Anyways, I wanted to make a Touhou song, but there weren't that many Touhou songs
actually so this is precious to me.
To begin with, there aren't that many exciting songs. It's one of the New Age.

Yuuka has several personalities:
-a frightening powerful youkai
-a calm and friendly youkai who loves sunflowers
-A youkai governor of a parallel world
-a youkai with the strangest and funniest face I've ever seen
I like to imagine she's one of the few Touhous to actually mature, so she's a lot calmer than she was in the PC-98 days. But if you mess with her sunflowers, you will learn all too well why she is still one of the most feared youkai in Gensokyo...

There’s such a dark, mysterious vibe to all of the songs. This, the obscurity of Seihou, and my lack of knowledge of it, add to it feeling lost and enraptured in a planet with an eternal night. When I make a franchise myself, that’s what I want part of it to feel like.
@Bananina pc-98 touhou games were made by ZUN... it's been his series the whole time.
@Bananina can u give anything other than speculation as to how much of the first 5 touhou games amusement makers members other than ZUN contributed to?
@Bananina i'm gonna have to disagree with you on the music. I find seihou to be substantially different from pc-98 touhou, and much closer to eosd/dipp, if only for reasons of instrumentation and arrangement.
@Bananina can you give an example of two tracks you find similar? personally I don't see the resemblance.

BAD SEIHOU YUUKA IMAGERY MEMORIES
I just imagine it would be the absolute weirdest experience to play these games in order and then be told by a super fan-friend that..."yeah, see these crossover-cameos of Reimu, Marisa and Yuuka? Prepare to never see those versions of the characters again. They are just gone and replaced when you come back to TH for 6 and beyond."

The only reason people play or even care for Seihou is because of Youkai Moe

@@anonymousanonymous8216 To answer your question, Seihou is game made by Shunsatsu sare do? as a sort of counterpart to Touhou.
Since the creators used to be part of a Japanese college group called Amusement Makers (which ZUN was a part of when he made the PC-98 games), ZUN contributed a few songs to the first two Seihou games, with Reimu and Marisa appearing as Extra Stage bosses in the former, and Yuuka as an unlockable player character in the latter.

@@HugoPegler well, yes, but how exactly does it relate to touhou now? like is it canon to pc-98? or does it just feature a few characters and elements of touhou that touhou reuses or touhou let seihou use? is it like a spinoff sort of deal?
@@anonymousanonymous8216 Yeah, you're pretty close with that second guess. I'll admit that 'counterpart' was a bit vague on my end, it's more like a 'same universe, different setting' kinda thing.
Basically for a lack of a better description, Seihou is to Touhou what American Dad is to Family Guy.
