They demolished the tribune of the Bosch-Kurve. That grandstand was directly historical monument, was built along with the original Osterreichring, and remained there even after the reopening of the circuit in the nineties. I hope that, in any case, they demolished to build a new one.
forget real life, IN GAMING THIS IS THE GREATEST CIRCUIT EVER!! Turn 1, Turn 2 and Turn 3 are all overtaking opportunities as you slow down to second gear (or 1st depending on traction). To win races here you need to use your brain AND driving skills. Man my best time with semi traction control only in a 2002 Ferrari car was just under 1:09 at 1:08.89. Once you get the hang of it its very easy to clock fast laps but during a race its hell! lol so hard to win I love it.
They would bring the track , Turkey will not pay for the turkish grand-prix , and the next option is RedBull Ring(A1) as Bernie said , we gonna have a GP on this track :')
not too familiar with the red bull ring. just looked this up because its on the F1 calender for the upcoming season. looks pretty good. i would assume a low downforce set up with a hint of oversteer would be best suitable here?
On the video my son was 16 years old and he was testing for the race of Formula BMW Switzerland Championship. Then he stops racing because we don't have ressources to continue. Today he has 18.
Try a crowd funding website. Josh Wise did it for professional NASCAR Olympians do it all the time. Olympic stuff costs more than F BMW I bet. I am planning on starting F Renault 1.6L UK and if I have a bit of trouble securing funds I will go to a crowd funding website for help.
que mierda le paso a esta pista, Red Bull quito todas las gradas, parase mas a la vieja pista de Österreichring. con razón la F1 no ha vuelto, porque nisiquiera hay donde sentarse los espectadores.. mal echo Red Bull :(
But which French track? Magny-cours is an absolutely horrible track. Paul Ricard would be horrible. The only suitable French track would be Le Mans (the actual Le Mans, not Bugatti) and that would never happen, and it whilst suitable, it wouldn't be that great. Imola might work, but there would need to be a whole plethera of upgrades to get it to be any where near decent enough for F1. To be honest, I've never really enjoyed Imola as a circuit that much. Also, the fact that this circuit has basically 9 corners means that it's different enough from all the other F1 tracks, so I argue that it does in-fact have more variety, in the sense of the F1 calendar, rather than the track itself. I'm looking forward to it anyway.
either you don't have knowledge about F1 or you are just plain dumb....one of the best tracks of the season....Flowing circuit...with fast corners and lot of overtaking opportunities...Spielberg always had a habit of drawing up exciting grandprix.
What a boring track...watching F1 there was like taking a sleeping pill. But there was hope - Back then, I was so satisfied as i heard Mateschitz will rebuild the big old layout - but when i saw what happened...man, what a load of crap. The "new", boring layout, why in the hell has he done that? It was a great chance to rebuild one of the old classic racetracks, the old Österreichring was so great, fast, the drivers would have loved it. And: a REAL racetrack, not the usual Tilke-Shit. Sad.
wish they had included more of the old sections from the old osterreichring

Very Good Driving
Great driving!!
I would love to be driving there.

I'm so happy that F1 is returning to this circuit.
Well, they are planning to get it back on the calendar!
I with they could bring that track back to the F1 calendar
I miss it :(
Back in F1!!!
Quite interesting track. Will try it out in rFactor.
Very good
c bon sa vivement l'an prochain
Its back for 2014, woohoo!
I gonna miss the green kerbs in this track
They would bring the track , Turkey will not pay for the turkish grand-prix , and the next option is RedBull Ring(A1) as Bernie said , we gonna have a GP on this track :')
it will return in F1 next year!
well... is back my friend!!
2014 man.
they did go to wiki
how fast was the car befor the remus hairpin (2nd corner)
not too familiar with the red bull ring. just looked this up because its on the F1 calender for the upcoming season. looks pretty good. i would assume a low downforce set up with a hint of oversteer would be best suitable here?
It's actually the old "Osterreichring" or "A1-Ring". Formula 1 has been there until 2004. Red Bull bought the circuit some years ago
has been in this circuit that occurred the famous race which Barrichello gave the victory to Schumacher because of the team order
What car is tihs? All the time makes you want to ask "Are you sure your all on the gass pedal?"
I prefer the old name "A1 Ring" :)
This track hasn't changed from the 1990s layout.
nice
F1 Challenge 99-02
How old are you?
1984年のエステルライヒリンクでニキ は優勝
Come back f1 in 2014!!
Tha car is a Formula BMW
braking is very nervous on that car
It doesn´t look like a good circuit for the rb. It has very long straights.

Poor him, not being able to live the dream because of money :( Always money.. Anyways, good luck to your son in the future!

Carlos Rodrigues That's why Lewis Hamilton was lucky that Mercedes sponsored him from a young age, his dad had to work 4 jobs.
Understeer much?
yeah but is the same track
que mierda le paso a esta pista, Red Bull quito todas las gradas, parase mas a la vieja pista de Österreichring. con razón la F1 no ha vuelto, porque nisiquiera hay donde sentarse los espectadores.. mal echo Red Bull :(
manual gearbox but....same ugly square steering wheel? c'mon!
@quiquegines Get lost
this is the wrost circuit in the world. its short simple and it has no emotion, bring back old nurburgring thats a circuit
What a boring circuit, just long straights in circles. F1 should return to france or imola at least they have more variety.
But which French track? Magny-cours is an absolutely horrible track. Paul Ricard would be horrible. The only suitable French track would be Le Mans (the actual Le Mans, not Bugatti) and that would never happen, and it whilst suitable, it wouldn't be that great.

after all the experiences they had with imola i doubt f1 will return to that track. mugello would be fun though, or maybe vallelunga.
and what do you say about monza then ? there are chicanes and straights too^^
either you don't have knowledge about F1 or you are just plain dumb....one of the best tracks of the season....Flowing circuit...with fast corners and lot of overtaking opportunities...Spielberg always had a habit of drawing up exciting grandprix.
Modern circuits are boring, with some exceptions, Red Bull ring (A-1 ring) was better when it was the Osterreichring with the original layout.
