My Step-Father was deeply religious. I've never been religious. If you take the time and read various religious texts then you will find a few cross overs and how different ceremonies have all been combined over the years. Was there a man called Jesus? Probably. Did he give teachings on how we should be nice to each other and forgive people rather than fight them. Probably. Was he the son of God born to a virgin on Christmas day in a stable? Probably not. I will argue along side anyone who says that a person's beliefs should not be belittled. But when those person's start trying to force those beliefs and their way of thinking onto other people that's when it gets into wrongness

13 years (k - 12) of private Catholic education & both sides of my family being devout Catholics....I can tell you that Jesus stood for LITERALLY EVERYTHING that the "church" actively preaches AGAINST.
