This song is so true.
When my husband left me, with three children, I felt arms around me when I went to bed that night. I truly believe that Jesus was holding me tight. I fell asleep knowing we were going to be alright.
I can relate but I left him, he was hardly home and he was abusive to me. But thank God we later made our peace and he was Saved!! I talked to him on the phone before he passed away

@@lawratify I find it interesting that you seem to believe in good and evil without wondering where good comes from. I do grieve that so many lives are lost each day. But my faith in God allows me to know that death is just a change of location. You don't have to believe, God loves you so much He won't force you to love HIm. If you deny God, why do you care what I believe? If you believe there is a God why do you object He has rules to enter into His eternal home? If there is an eternal home with God, then isn't death just the beginning of new life? I pray you wrestle with these questions and find someone to talk too.

@@lawratify we don’t find bliss in worldly things. We hurt and struggle just like you. We have also lost loved ones to tragic circumstances. Evil exist in this world just as good does. We love our creator and know that “all things” work together for the good of all. Just like lives are lost in war( which I’m against) lives are lost to bring Salvation to others. I believe God loves us all and that we will all be together with him one day. The Bible explains this whole existence if you care to read it and ask him to give you understanding of why bad things happen. God loves you as much as any other. Every child who has died in Syria is now sitting in Jesus's lap forever in great peace and love and has forever forgotten their suffering on this temporary earth. Everyone who has a near death experience comes back and says the love of God and Jesus is far above any other love they've ever experienced. And they understand everything and how eternity works. Our minds are limited. Just because you don't understand God's ways, doesn't mean He isn't true or good. The created can't question the creator. God is eternal and created a never ending universe. It comes down to will you trust Him or not? Those who trust will live forever with Him in peace and great love with Jesus, The creator of life. You don't know me. Lying in bed one night, feeling at rock bottom and hopeless, I felt as if someone was grabbing me from behind and pulling me into a tight hug. Hey, Dan. Thanks so much for this song, and most importantly, praise be to God for you and for this wonderful song! I grew up with an abusive Dad. I'm an adult now but the scars remain and I'm still pretty sore emotionally. I often find myself longing for the love that my Dad didn't give me. This song is such a wonderful reminder of how much God loves me. He is my loving Heavenly Father, and even when anxiety or depression grips me, even in my darkest nights, God stays by my side. In the middle of it, He holds me tight.
To be honest, I struggle with trusting God. My earthly Dad was almost constantly angry, and it makes it pretty hard for me to connect with God because I'm afraid that He is angry with me. But, Jesus is my Savior. He paid the price for my sins, so I no longer face God’s wrath.
Still, it's a real struggle. Sometimes it's like I'm looking at God through a pair of broken glasses because my vision of Him is so distorted and broken by how my earthly Dad treated me.
Sometimes, I get so scared of God, but I gotta remember that God
