In today's video, I'm going to show you how the new ad manager on Roblox works and how many visits I will get, I will also show you the best solution in my opinion.

With the way roblox is running it's ad campaign, it makes it impossible for small time or new devs to really get their game out there. I myself am a small game dev and I have to rely on word-of-mouth or just the odd chance that it appears in the "recommended for you" section due to how ridiculously expensive it is. It's actually cheaper for me to buy ad space in a shopping centre than it is in roblox.

If you were to run it at all times? Yeah then you could make that argument. But your ad budget directly scales with how long your ad has the potential to be seen by users as opposed to a flat cost to display said ad for a long time. The ad scheme is actually BENEFICIAL to small users as well just due to the nature of the ads being displayed on the exact same platform that your content is hosted and the user is active on. Think about it like this:
You have a small store in a shopping mall and have two options for advertising. One is a billboard somewhere else in town, the other is on a bid-type system the same way roblox does it with electronic screens in said mall. It would make WAY more sense for the advertiser to have an advantage at the same establishment because the advertisements are easy to set up, require little to no maintenance or upkeep, and since the people seeing it are in the mall it exists in they are way more likely to actually check it out cause 1. theyre already there and 2. theyre looking for things to do
Same thing applies to roblox, and even on small budgets you can still get a decent bit of exposure. You wont be front-paging for every hour of the day if you don't have the capital, that is pretty obvious. The better option for smaller devs is to strategically pick a time window for them to maximize the amount of potential viewers. If you game is decent and your campaign is smart and attractive then even with minimal capital you can have a decent effect

@@cure No humor in the comment whatsoever. All my experiences with ads for the past few years have been all pretty decent on small to medium budgets. How can I be anything other than "pedantic" if the only thing we can asses the advertising experience with is our experience lol
100%, the old robux method allowed anyone of any size to advertise, now it's almost pointless for small time devs

i get so mad at these ads because sometimes i accidentally walk into the ad and then get teleported into another game mid-combat, yes i have seen some games do that and i hate it
I always assume most of them come from natural disasters survival thinking the glowing portal will send them back down
i don’t know if this happened, but I once believed I got flung into one of these portals, but lag didn’t tp me.
Yeah once I was glitching pets in muscle legends which takes around 5 days for a good pet non-stop. You can't leave the game because the pet will unglitch. The ads are so annoying i've lost like 12 pets because of the portals being in such open spaces and most of these pets were on day 4. In total these portal have probably made me lose a month of my life

Hey Cookie, thanks so much for this you explained it so well! There now is no limit to the amount of robux you need and i did a sponsored experience for £6 each day for 2 days, averaging about 10-80 players now! It matters alot about your icon and i believe that sponsored experiences get alot more impressions and plays than immersive ads

@@pangames1 Yeah, I don’t know if it’s just me but when I looked there was no minimum requirement for amount of credits you needed to buy and you could buy just 1 add credit for like 250 robux

really cool. i definitely think if you had a more complex, marketable, and finished game, and put in like 10k robux worth of credits a day, you would have had an even bigger success. make sure to have an active income source and when you put in advertisements like this to still have money leftover. great video!

I'm very happy that Roblox is finally remaking ads, i remember when they removed them for underaged accounts, but now, with a couple of bucks, you can make your tiny game blow up

I did not know how to sponsor my game so I paid for an advert instead but When I had already paid for the ad I now figured out how to sponsor my game, but it was too late, all my robux was spent on an advert and I only got 30 clicks bruh
Answers what the title questions, good video
I recently advertised a game using immersive ads and they work really well. However, they are really bad at keeping the people in the game. This may have been because of my game but also the roblox doesn't really have a way to control the specific type of people (like what experience they are in) will see the ad. I mean you can select if you want your ad to displayed at games that are all ages but then with the next tier it also includes those people to. So the bulk of who joins your game with immersive ads are people from all ages games which have trouble playing it. I recommend sponsorships for desktop users as it gave me a lot of retention!
How much Robux did you put into ads and for how long?
Interesting video, bit slow maybe and some repeated stuff. Like we already saw the settings when you went through them to make the campaign, but then explained again later
I think that due to highest spend rates winning the bids, if you have a low budget, you want a sponsership. But if you are on the high end of the budget spectrum, then you should use an immersive ad.

If you jump just before equipping your hang glider, you go flying up. I think that this is caused due to the hangglider only significantly reducing gravity, rather than it being height based.

I feel like this game is good, but it doesnt feel like your actually gliding, it just feels like your walking on air, and slowing falling. I would recommend locking it to first person, and remove the basic movement. Then make your own turning system, where you lean the glider in a direction to slowly turn in a direction.
Great video, though I do believe you should strive to use human-created thumbnails for your games even though it's for an experiment. I reckon this would heavily enhance the videos quality by a lot.
This was a one off experiment, interesting you say that the video quality was reduced due to the fact I used the AI generated image for just the game, I thought this would simply just lower the quality of the game, appreciate the feedback!

Without using AI, he could've shown himself making his own thumbnails or working with other creators to make one, even if it turns out 'poorly designed'.
It would've added a really good layer of authenticity and additional footage to the video, and overall improving it's quality. But the video is great nevertheless, and this creator is doing great! :)

Hello, I just subscribed to you, I have a video suggestion coule you help on how to make like rank doors from Roblox groups? Like Roblox Cafes that the Kitchen only can be Access from the Baristas (Roblox rank group).
Doesn’t take that long for a quick search, if you can’t script a simple thing like this, good luck being able to make a full popular cafe.
Complete the missing parts, and delete the - when you put the location.
Replace it with: script.Parent.
Replace the end with your door. Next, fill in the ‘local id’ with your group ID.
Then finally put the ‘minimumRankLevel’ with whatever rank number you want it to be.

@@snailpro6005I don’t think they’ll explain it to you here. Try doing research, it really is easily! I’ve used webhooks for moderation logging in games. All you need is a server and some knowledge on Lua.

It's using a Roblox to Discord Webhook, there are lots of videos on RUclips about it. :)

Best way to get it to pay off, would have been to make a game that is more engaging, so people would play again, and again, and again, the hang-glider game, like most obeys don't have much replay value, so you need to spend ridiculous amounts for players
