Happy Wednesday my loves✨ I am super excited to share this Paris vlog with you guys, since it was quite an iconic trip!!!! It was a girls trip with my besties from Iceland and we literally had the best time. We thrifted, enjoyed delicious food, got tattoos, went clubbing and shared some really precious moments together. We decided to go on a river cruise (with some bubbles of course) in front of the Eiffel Tower and it was just breathtaking!! I highly recommend it. I really hope that you will enjoy this week’s video and see you next week xx

the parisian metro is the playground of pickpockets, as locals, we are always on the alert when taking the metro, it has become automatic unfortunately, do not hesitate to file a complaint with the police. often thieves are arrested and items are returned. enjoy your stay :)

So sorry about your phone Birta! I was in a similar situation when I went to Paris with my bf, we sat outdoors to eat lunch with our backpacks. I left mine on a chair beside me. Someone was eyeing us for a long time (we only realized later, funnily enough we took photos of ourselves and he was in the background 🥲) and tried to steal my backpack. We were just enjoying ourselves, but all of a sudden we turn around to see that the chair next to me was empty! The guy had taken the bag and started to walk away, but thankfully my bf realized and ran after him, we managed to get it back. France is beautiful but one must be careful! I live in Italy and it's the same over here, I recommend people to be extra aware of their surroundings, because even as a local I got my phone stolen on public transportation. Be safe everyone!

Once i step into the metro and the city center my security mode is on! I'm always alert cause people are stealing left and right...
so happy that you enjoyed this vlog from Paris!❤️ but yeah it's kinda crazy how much is stolen in the big cities. It's something that I am still getting used to because growing up in Iceland a person never has to think about things like this. Copenhagen is also very safe but I am always a bit more alert there because it is a bigger city and you never know😞 thanks for the love and support, it means the world to me🥰❤️

Ahhhh so annoying and frustrating! It’s the worst when people steal your things, feels like a nightmare, like if you were still dreaming and it’s not real! But yeah even if it sucks, you always have to be careful . But the trip looks amazing and it’s so cool that you get to travel with your bffs 👯♂️

Must be one of my favourite videos of you! you look absolutely stunning and your friends seem amazing - gotta love a great sense of humour! so sorry to hear about your phone but I must say you handled the situation very well, something I certainly look up to! Whenever I travel to bigger cities in Europe I am reminded of how I sometimes take for granted how safe it is where I live on a daily basis. For example when I was in Paris I was a control freak every time we got on the metro - I clanked on all my belongings like a crazy person 😅 I never think about doing that where I live. i’m so sorry for what happened to you. i’m brazilian so i always stay in alert in big cities, but i understand that because you are used with the nordic countries you don’t have this habit. even though i’m glad you had a nice trip with your friends. the quality is great!
Oh Birta. I’m so sorry about your phone! That is such an unsettling feeling. I’m actually in Copenhagen at the moment (hello 👋🏼)… We went on a small tour of the wooden giants (not sure if you know about them) and the vehicle we were traveling in on the tour had a window smashed in… Apparently this is so rare here… They clearly rummaged through out things but didn’t take anything. The rest of your trip looks super wonderful!! Hope you enjoyed ❤ also, my husband and I went to Fabro the restaurant because I saved it from one of your past videos. It was fantastic!!! 🤤 also been loving the thrift stores as well.

I'm really sorry to hear your phone got stolen! I live in Paris and thankfully haven't had that happen to me. But I'm always super careful, never letting my phone out of my sight. It sucks that we have to be so cautious, and tourists often get targeted. Trying to blend in on the metro and not drawing too much attention can definitely help, but it's frustrating to even have to think about it.

5:20 I‘m so sorry that your phone got stolen. If I was you I literally would have a mental breakdown.😭 One thing I love about Iceland is that they don’t have gypsies pickpocketing your stuff in public places or scamming tourists. It’s so annoying.
I am SO sorry your phone was stolen. Pickpockets on the Metro are awful-when I was there last month, they actually made announcements when there was a pickpocket on the train. I was shocked and amazed. Also - I love that you were in the 10th which is my favorite arrondissement.
