Perge, an ancient city located in Antalya, Turkey, has a rich history dating back to the Bronze Age. It was originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 BCE. The city gained prominence during the Hellenistic period after the conquests of Alexander the Great in the 4th century BCE. It became a significant cultural and commercial center, renowned for its grand architecture and urban planning.
Under Roman rule, Perge flourished, reaching its zenith in the 2nd and 3rd centuries CE. The city was adorned with impressive structures such as a large theater, a stadium, Roman baths, and a well-preserved agora. The city's strategic location along the Kestros River facilitated trade and communication.
Perge also held religious significance, with a famous temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. The spread of Christianity saw the city become an important center for early Christian activity, visited by Saint Paul during his missionary journeys.
However, the city's decline began in the Byzantine period, exacerbated by Arab raids in the 7th century. By the Seljuk and Ottoman eras, Perge had diminished to a small settlement.
Today, Perge's ruins stand as a testament to its historical significance, attracting scholars and tourists alike who marvel at its ancient splendor.

WHY @ 5:11 would you say, I still see artwork, reds and blues, and not highlight or outline or ⭕ circle or draw an arrow at it, instead of just adding text that says, "It's very faint". It's not that difficult during the editing process to en-large and highlight or zoom-in and color invert to show us what you can see. Slow down the shutter speed and take a snapshot!! Anything is better than the lazy cop out of, I know you cannot see it, bologna?!?!?

@@sarahconner2832 I thought about doing that and will add highlights in the next video for sure! In the next video, there is plenty of mosaic and I will add a snapshot effect. Thanks for the tip!
