      She actually was "Betty" until she changed the spelling, just fyi. Also, I think ppl that correct other peoples spelling in a ytube comment are bored and pathetic. Cheers! 😂😂😂

    I hadn’t realised how much she’d recovered by 1985, she’s obviously thinner than her pre-stroke interviews and there are signs of the stroke here but she looks and sounds very much as she did before. Most other post-stroke interviews are c86/87 onwards and she’s in much poorer health only a year or so later, her voice was very different too. I suspect she had further strokes that she kept quiet. Such a shame, still miss her.

    Not even the stoke could harm Bette's great brain. That's the sign of a great personality.

    • @lisag18
      @lisag18 2 года назад +5

      That's the sign of luck. By your logic people with a bad personality don't have a great brain and a stroke wouldn't affect that? That's not how it works.

    it's shocking to see how much better shape she's in here than just a year or so later. You can't even notice that she HAD had a stroke.

      Allan Fisch the cigarettes took her down. That and the horrible refined food she was eating. her health was compromised; her Caretaker should have been giving her tons of fruits and vegetables and liquid mineral supplements. she would have lived another 15 years....

      I thought pretty much the same :) well she looks foreign to the time before the stroke...but so much better than two years later.

    • @joeschmoe373
      @joeschmoe373 7 лет назад +3

      Very much so. I wonder if she had another one after this. You can tell a huge difference a couple years later...but she's very practical about all the devastating physical assault she went through. She's almost fascinated by the human experience of it all. Personally I'd be sheetin bricks, crying for my Mommy going thru all that.

    • @Filmdude0
      @Filmdude0 7 лет назад +3

      Well, once you are in such a situation you learn to deal with it... But anyway...you might be right... maybe she had another stroke but did not realize it herself.

    I’ve chatted with her daughter on different occasions in the past, I call her ministry number, but BD’s portrayals is much different then the public thinks. They don’t know Bette Davis at all nor personally. They are basing her stature off of seeing her in movies and her acting duties. None have an my idea what went on behind closed doors or who she really was. So keep that in mind

    Bette was furious at doctors asking stupid questions? They have to ascertain the worsening of the memory. I'd hate to be her doctor but at least she still had the feist.
    What gets me though is after cancer, after the stroke she still continued smoking?
    Yes, the damage is done from decades of abuse by smoking that it's too late but help yourself to decrease the chances of another occurrence
