My tan Romy is a year old now, I used it a lot last summer and autumn and it still looks pristine. The leather has only become more sumptuous and supple and there is no wear and tear, even though I haven't been particularly careful storing it over the winter (hung it over a door LOL). I think you just prefer more structured bags :).I have the Prada Cleo similar to Ava, so never looked at it.
Lol - I never used to think twice about storing stuff (door knobs, hooks, bins, wherever) but now I’m so particular it’s embarrassing 😂 That’s good to know about your Romy…I saw the new large earlier this week and that thing was HUGE, but the original size still pulls at my heart strings (just not as much as my Ava 😜)

Oohhh, that’s a tough one. I love my leather Ava but I do kick myself from time to time in not getting the canvas version. Really think about your lifestyle, how you’d style it and also the strap (if you’d want the ability to adjust/swap it with something else). Good luck in making your decision 🍀
Thx for your videos. Tip to counteract your sunnies issue with the Ava- I keep a small cotton drawstring bag for my sunnies in bags (that won’t fit the case)to protect the lenses😎🌈

Hi! I recently purchased the same ava bag and my snaps have a lot of what looks like little scratches. Is that how it’s supposed to look? My essay said the hardware is vintage gold and supposed to look aged. Curious if yours looked the same when new.
I vaguely remember the hardware having little hairline scratches on it - both on the snaps and the clasps. 9 months later, I would say “vintage gold” and “aged” are good ways to describe the hardware…some tiny scratches but I have to REALLY look at it to notice/it still gives off a gold hardware look.
Not in my experience. Earlier in the summer, I got a little something on the side and it wiped right off, with no stains or markings (IMO their natural calfskin bags are more prone to water stains than the smooth calfskin). Treating it with a water repellent could always be an option…it doesn’t rain much where I live, so I haven’t treated any of my bags (but I use Cadillac Select conditioner and I believe they have a water repellent…or Apple Garde is another one you could try).
I don’t have either…was initially drawn to the Ava, but am now considering the romy. The slouch on the romy is so incredibly chic.

What I love about the double strap on the Ava is that it makes it more adjustable for the times you don’t want to wear it right beneath your arm.

SUCH a good color, especially for fall. Their Rice color (light taupe) is pretty too/it’s a good neutral.

If I worried about the leather on the Romy, I would just condition the leather. That will keep it supple and in great condition.
