    There is the most crucial area with I didn't say, that would be the gun and massive ammo storage needed to keep all of the thousands of people who will be hungry thirsty and desperate which will be invading these properties by the thousands. They'll need machine guns on all four corners going all the time. And if there's an EM P, then all of this stuff is basically worthless no solar panels will work no electrical components no motors or anything else non-of the cars tractors anything. That is a huge problem

    South Carolina inspectors are obviously not trained properly. #1 PCV must be strapped maximum 3' from termination point. #2 schedule 40 PVC not to be used where subject to damage.#3 wood cabinet to house battery banks is not only a violation but a terrible idea.

    • @queenbeethatme1009

      robert avalos Many homes in rural areas have no inspectors any longer. Not for electrical, roofs, plumbing or anything.
      Federal and state inspections were eliminated in Indiana, MO small towns due to cost cutting.
      The only gov agency I had to contact about building was the DNR. To ensure sewage run off from my privy, outhouse, sludgepond, toilets, cesspools were far enough away from the watershed.
      After that, no restrictions on what or how to build. Wild , wild west.
      Why do you think that state fair stage collapsed killing all those people in Indiana? No inspections.

      Bit of a simple question. The property seems to have a stream running across it. What's typical the GPM? Also what the elevation difference between the high point to the low point? I'm asking for a rough evaluation of the potential for a mini hydro system.

    Sorry to be a downer. I'm not trying to guess the reason for sale here. This video makes me think of my past situation. How do you prep for Divorce? Couples can throw a lot of time and money into a setup and then... I hope they have moved to an up grade. I know that the folks that buy this place will be well pleased.

    • @chdnorm
      @chdnorm 10 лет назад +5

      Not to be a downer either ... but that's an good question. For me, keep everything separate. The house belongs to her, the cabin belongs to him. The car is hers, the truck is his, etc. I've been married 20+ years and it's worked for us. I've seen too many friends have to sell off gun collections and bass boats while she her clothes and jewelry doesn't seem affected.

    Also, of course it sold. It sold the first time! I'm sure there are quibbles, we live and learn, but step back for a second and behold. What we may be witnessing is the prepper's dream-or at least should be, and possibly the rescue of America. If "prepper" houses in the near future are just bought and sold as turn-key operations, even in small numbers, a lot of the crises never even happen! For example, if everyone had a year of food, would there ever be a food shortage? Likewise, if there are enough of these type properties it wouldn't be worth any raider's while (and I assure you it wouldn't if it were mine) and the first step on the road to many is the first one. Bravo!

  • @riverlizard9158

    Is the outside of the house armour plated? I'm only interested if the walls can stop a tomahawk cruise missile being fired by all those non-preppers who will be coming after what I have when the world shuts down. ;-) And yes....I typed that with my tinfoil hat on...thank you!!

    • @queenbeethatme1009
      @queenbeethatme1009 5 лет назад

      River Lizard If you want to avoid the hordes, location
      .location..location.
      Live in hard to reach geographic location at least 100 mi from heavy traffic corridors like the interstate and state highways.
      Have at least mountains and other geographic impediments around you.
      Most will be killed by panic and other opportunists so will never make it to remote locations.
      The others will fall victim to gangs, road bandits, nature, disease, dehydration and starvation.
      Homes in clusters in town ir just outside will be the second set og places to be overrun and sacked.
      Refugees will be prey or predators.
      But in the right location, everything can work for or against remote preppers.
      So who has a tomahawk missle, the means to move and use it and the satellite linkage to pinpoint a home? Not the avg rambo wannabee.
      Most will be killed by other, stronger wannabees.
      Only large bands headed by military would use missiles and your place would have to be worth destroying.
      No one would use a missile to take a prep home..because after the strike there would be no home or food and the missile would have been wasted. Duh.
      Not to mention the gas/means to get it in place.
      I live so far out, there are no gas stations and few roads to get to our location. Only 1 way in unless by boat with a serious hike through snake infested marshes and woods. Deep ravines, better have grappling equip. Lol

    the first thing I noticed was no hurricane shutters to protect the windows from intrusion? and the bug out truck wasn't what I would have expected as a bug out vehicle since it didn't have 4wd nor ground clearance. it was a stretch calling it a bug out vehicle for the whole family and it was a single cab lol. gorgeous property none the less. I'd buy it if I could.

    • @lecapoy1
      @lecapoy1 8 лет назад +3

      What makes you think there would be a hurricane in the middle of the forest???

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip 8 лет назад +14

      hurricane shutters are used to protect windows from being smashed. They aren't isolated to just for hurricanes. Some people call them security shutters. Btw there are forests located near oceans like Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina and others.

    • @lecapoy1
      @lecapoy1 8 лет назад +6

      +mixflip lol ok haha you're looking at million Dollar house and you're worried about fucking shutters lol there hasn't been a hurricane there since 2007 and when there was it just missed!! I wouldn't be too worried being in the middle of the forest halfway up a mountain! But if you can afford a million dollar house you can sure afford to put on your little pink shutters that you want so bad lol

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip 8 лет назад +20

      +lecapoy1 lol....another Internet tough guy. I said the shutters would be to protect the windows for defensive purposes. living off the grid also involves Self defense. unprepared shit heads will always want what the prepared folks have.

    • @lecapoy1
      @lecapoy1 8 лет назад +2

      +mixflip and you think shutters are going to save your ass? You're going to need bulletproof windows or bars on the windows! I'll half slap your shutters off the window and walk in lol if someone wants in that house no way in hell storm shutters are going to save you lol

    I believe this is in or around Pickens county. The elevation is Table Rock. I went to rappelling school there in 1992. I rappelled 330 meters down the face of it for final qualification. Six weeks before that I had surgery to fuse my spine at c5-6 and wasn't really cleared to go back to work yet. I had contracted 12 spots for a crew at my workplace for CONFINED SPACE ENTRY operations and was not going to let my company have to eat that contract. The people in this area would give you the shirt off their back if they like you. I would not think of it as a Prepper Thing, but a little piece of heaven with saints for neighbors to go with it.

    first time comment. been following you for years! I've just retired and for the past year I have been prepping my fortress. my issue is food supply. the property is very rocky and steep. and it's on a small island in the Caribbean. have over a year supply of survival food. solar, generator, EMP protected, 10,000-gallon rain fed cistern. installing RO system pulling from ocean front property. now I'm second guessing maybe I should sell this place and purchase this property!!! after the Maui DEW attack. Luckly I painted my house 3 years ago to blue. now my concern is a white roof with 32 black solar panels. debating on if should invest in blue tarps to cover whole roof if we get "wildfires" on this island.

    IMHO, anyone questioning the price don't understand what they are looking at. Did you notice the "Summer Kitchen"? "We heard you liked houses, bro, so we put a house in your house!" Also, IMHO, if you do understand then you will not have trouble with the maintenance.

    Even without the prepping highlights, it looks like a little slice of heaven to me, birdsong, forest and mountain view? In the UK this would go for nearer £2.75 million (yes, that's pounds Sterling) - Gorgeous.

  • @baldieman64

    An incredible home at an incredible price. £609399.54 is admittedly way above my price point but even without the prepper modification, vehicles and fittings that are included, it would be impossible to buy a home like that with that amount of land in the UK even if your budget was double this.

    learn prepper food laws....NEVER disclose food storage because in time of emergency the
    government can take your supplies and redistribute it.

    sounds like this guy took all their money, now they can't afford to live there lmao..best thing to do is have an underground bunker that connects to the house,with a excape hatch somewhere away from the house.this just seems like a huge waste of money..

    If you can add that mountain top or the land to it, man that would make a fun week hike and discovery trip, oh and a couple 50 caliber mounts on the roof. Nice place, lots of hard work already completed.

    some metal rollers on the window like hurricane type steel and heavy security on doors. then at night no one would notice it. in us you can carry guns in UK you can't crossbows and low powered air guns you still need a reason and licence.

    personally if I was prepping I wouldn't want a house that someone else lived in and knew every inch of the house just in case the s*** did hit the fan, you don't think they'd come back because they know what's in there along with a lot of other people since it's on RUclips?

    All that glass to shoot thru... I hope there are means to correct those issues when the bubble pops... An outstanding start, now I just need to win a lottery.

    What a beautiful piece of property. A lot of work has gone into creating a place like that. But, while the prepper community is growing, it's still a small percentage of the general home buying public. Here's my question, not about this property specifically, but prepper improvements in general ... How much ROI do prepper oriented improvements to a property generally see? What would the asking price for this property be, minus the improvements? Every project I do, I always wonder how much is adding value, and how much is just adding bonus selling points, without any return.
