      3 Grow a solid investment.
      I made a lot from 3 (investment) is very important to financial independence.

    He pretty much missed 4 years at the peak of his career through injury. Hes already a legend but just imagine what else he would have done with that extra time?! If any English sportsman of my generation deserves to be knighted it is him.

      I think he has that potential to give back even more as a coach/mentor etc, than he achieved as a player - and that really excites me for the future and I just hope that the likes of a Marcus Smith listen and learn from him.

    Scottish and a football guy but first sports memory was Wilkinson’s 2003 drop goal, been a big fan of him ever since

    What a player and what a person. Every time I listen to Jonny speak I feel wiser, the next generation of players are lucky to have access to his knowledge. If every player was as dedicated as him, you’d never lose a game.

    Some really good life lessons there. As youngsters growing up with social media and the constant negativity, his words really resonate surrounding the power you give to people to decide your life. I will be thinking about that for a while!

    For me Wilkinson has been the most irritating english player at first, then he's been the one I admired the most after his renaissance at Toulon. His joy winning the HCup and the brennus to finish his career was my happiest moment. Best English and rugby ambassador.

      @@newspaper9949 because he was really too good. His kicking was just too precise. Nothing to do with his personality. His game was just above everything that could be seen back then and that was irritating but not frustrating.

    Listen to him. He makes sense. It just that he doesn’t churn out cliches. It doesn’t sound familiar. So you dismiss it. A better interviewer would have by passed his script and explored some of his points.

    I found it very interesting what he said about trying hard to appear humble just to appear important. There's several high profile athletes who go out of their way to show how normal and unassuming they are. It doesn't always sit well with people. No wonder Muhammad Ali has gone down as The Greatest. Now there's someone who can be accused of trying hard to be someone else!

      He’s operating in a different space from the rest of us humans.
      The answer is there, maybe not to the question asked, but the one that should have been asked.
      And we just need to develop ourselves enough to understand!
