As a white boy with a (self declared) black soul, I have always admired the black-american community for its unique style, expression, culture, as well as music. it has everything, aesthetics, sensuality, love, pain, "coolness"

And it's a shame and quite a big disrespect when you have others primarily Latinos and foreign born blacks that says we don't have no culture, just sheer ignorance,we are true trailblazers, pioneers and trendsetters, our culture runs wayyy deep, this is only the piece of the pie.💯👍🏾

l thank you for posting these clips! The scene was before my time lol but l really enjoy it! l watch searching for clips of my grandparents Alicia Porter and Bunni McClain who we're scene dancers l believe anywhere between 1976-78. My grandmother Alicia passed in 1984 at the age of 28, her brother Gregory Porter was a scene dancer too. l know I'll probably never get to see them on here but l sure do enjoy discovering some of my old teachers and neighbors in their younger years dancing on here, that's hilarious lol! Please Keep em coming!

Oh how I wish I could have been a teen or young adult during this era. I was only six years old 😆. Wow! I only knew of American Bandstand and Soul Train. Detroit was a great place to be in the 70's too. Oh how I wish this era would return.

As a 64 year old (club kid since 1974 at 15 years old)... I'm sending you a big heartfelt thanks from Toronto for this reminder of our (shared) times.
Bus Stop, New York (and Detroit) Latin Hustle, The Robot, Lockin' and Poppin' and a partnered dance from Detroit... (I can't remember what was called🤔) ...all had an influence on us here in Canada... along with the Philly, Disco, Funk, and Boogie music genres Black/African Americans gifted us with.
With serious respectful loving regard for the cultural gifts your folk musics have blessed us with... thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU
    🎵👍🏾❤🔥👊🏾🎶
