As someone who has lived in Corvallis for the last 5 years, I feel compelled to offer the following advice. If you are thinking about relocating here, be advised that the cost of living will require you to have a decent-paying job. And by decent paying I mean making at least 25 dollars an hour. You can thank housing prices for that. Otherwise life will be difficult. I'm speaking from personal experience.

Oregon income tax is roughly 9% and expect to pay a high property tax. Our new Governor and Democrat-controlled legislature have proposed a 31% increase in income tax. Expect to pay around $5000 a year in property tax on a $500,000 home if you can find one for that price. Corvallis is also the most expensive place to live in Oregon. Here are the 10 most expensive places to live in Oregon for 2022:
    Corvallis
    Seaside
    Ashland
    Wilsonville
    Bend
    Portland
    Gresham
    Eugene
    Hood River
    Talent

Our new governor is fucking trash. This is part of the reason half of Oregon wants to join Idaho, the west coast has been destroyed by these people.
