My 85 year old Mama is famous for her pecan pie. She uses butter and vanilla and more eggs. No flour. The extra eggs make it set without risking it being dry with flour. She also makes the filling thick. There was a lady in the community who could take one recipe's worth of filling and make two or three pies (not deep crust). They were really thin!
Hello Tammy how are you ? I have a problem and I hope you can help me. I ordered two of your first edition cookbooks, one for my daughter and one for me. I paid for two. But sadly I only received one! It has been 48 hours and no one has contacted me. Please help!
I just made a pecan pie for Thanksgiving. I use a recipe from my mother that I copied into my 1968 handwritten cookbook which I compiled a year before I married in 1969. My recipe uses 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 corn syrup. I take my pecans and put them into the filling mixture and mix. I then dump that into the pie crust. The pecans float to the top. They taste like candy then. I can't remember the temp, but I think I cooked mine for 40 minutes at 375. This pie is an absolute favorite of my kids. Thanks for the idea of a Coke-a-cola pecan pie!
Hi Tammy 👋 your Coca-Cola pecan pie looks scrumptious 😋 never thought about putting flour in the filling!! Thanks for the tip 🤗 you look very festive in your Christmas outfit!!🧑🎄
I'm with you Tammy! Cant stand a stingy pie! Depending on my pie plate, I'll double at least half again the filling. I want filling all the way to the top. Such a pretty pie.
Good Evening Tammy and Chris . Thanks for sharing your recipe . For the Coca-Cola pecan pie . Never thought to put flour in pecan pie filling . I want to make this for Christmas .🎄⛄🤯
That pie looks VERY good! Funny you did that with the Karo syrup. My mom was making something once (1969/1970?) It required dark corn syrup. She didn't have dark syrup so she used white and about 1/4 cup of molasses. FYI, I NEVER try to suggest how you could or should do anything in your kitchen! Just sayin. 👍☕🌹❤Happy Holiday Season everyone! 🎄
yay! we got a new video! pecan pie usually requires corn syrup anyhow, so this is a great way to use sodas!!! Also, hope your fibro is good. Saw you mention that in a video. I have it too, and it's the worst thing to get through sometimes. :-) Thanks for the cooking!! made ginger cookies first time today!
That looks delicious 😋 Ms Tammy. I usually make pecan pie for Thanksgiving and Christmas even though I am the only one who eats it. My family does not like nuts. I may give your Coke -a-Cola Pecan Pie a try for Christmas this year. Thank you for sharing. God's speed.
The best one I ever had was brought to us by one of our Doctors at Grady Hospital she was young and gorgeous and a brilliant Dr who could cook. Did I mention she was dressed to perfection too. It had dark chocolate chips and a little bourbon in them so rich and delicious. I made them for a few years then left the job and moved. I think she called them Kentucky Derby pies.
Yes. I worked for a Dr. In Kentucky. His wife use to make Derby pies for the office at Christmas. Oh my gosh ...we literally argue who was getting the last piece. Just fabulous.
Tammy: I'm like you. I like whole Pecans in my pie, or at least really big pieces. And I lot a lot of them. Marie Callender has a frozen Pecan pie that you just defrost and eat that is really delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
Yummy Thank you for sharing Tammy and Chris have a blessed evening stay safe and healthy. I'm going to order your 4th cookbook tomorrow. Love the headband 🎅🎅🎅🙏❤🙏❤🙏
I did not know there was such a thing as a Coca-Cola pecan pie recipe. But I think it makes sense since the soda can add a lot of flavor to the pecan pie filling.
Well you didn't say if it tastes any different or if it's better than a regular one! Do I want to try it with the coke or just as always? What can you tell me that would make me want to try this,?
You would be surprise the recipes that have coke a really, really good one is onions that you cook in butter and when they turn translucent you start adding coke. Great on hot dogs and burgers.
Love pecans. I get them gifted to me every Christmas from my brother. I top my sugar cookies with them . I bake my nut bread with them. I make fruit cake cookies with them. My pecans come from Cameron, South Carolina. Golden Kernel love them. My Momma and Daddy also had Pecan trees when I was growing up. I would take a hammer to crack the shell love those memories now I have all those fancy nut cracking tools❤️ I will try your pecan Pie recipe. I usually use my mommas.
I’m gonna give you a pointer. I’ve been making pecan pie for 50 years. This really comes in when you get older and your teeth aren’t as good. I always chop the hell out of the pecans chopping each full pecan and eight little pieces. They float to the top and while it tonight is a dramatic a presentation it’s a easy to cut and be a whole lot easier to chill and people really enjoy it much more than just throwing in the big pieces. Give it a try any think you’re going to see my point I didn’t start doing this till about 10 years ago when I started losing my teeth due to diabetes. I always take a little extra insulin before I have a piece of pecan pie LOL love your channel
Hi Tammy enjoy watching all of your videos specially the holidays I love your decorations I wish you could see mine I enjoy them around the house. That is the most beautiful pecan pie I've ever seen.
@@akaLaBrujaRoja yes I will give you 1 ¾ cups white sugar ¼ cup dark corn syrup ¼ cup butter 3 tablespoons Kentucky bourbon 1 tablespoon cold water 3 teaspoons cornstarch 3 eggs ¼ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ¼ cups chopped pecans 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell that is it enjoy
Delicious 😋 looking pecan pie!! I’ve never heard of Coca Cola Pecan Pie,but it sure looks like one to try 😊. Thank you for sharing the recipe . God bless your sweet family…..🎄♥️😊♥️🎄
Okay I cooked, cooled and had the first piece...it's fabulous xoxo Love that drawl...my great aunt was from Chesterfield South Carolina and I spent an enchanted childhood there...
Ive never made a pecan pie, but every thing ive tried from Tammy has been so great.....can anyone tell me was it 2 cups of sugar she put in? I can't get the website to load om my laptop
Original pecan pie was from Texas and it's a custard filling. Then Karo did an advertising campaign pushing a corn syrup filling, which caught on and took over. Yours looks much better than all the other corn syrup fillings, but I prefer the custard recipe. With corn syrup filling pies I only eat the pecans off the top and I eat the crust.
Making this soon! Question about your divinity if it's raining outside or certain weather it won't turn out? I am in Southern California so usually dry but wanted to know before making. Thanks and love your videos
Since you use flour to thicken the Pecan Pie and it already has melted butter, I wonder if making a roux for a pecan pie would help at all. Interesting.
Again your recipes differ from your videos compared to your cookbooks. Please be precise. Just letting you know, because there is quite a difference. Thanks Happy holidays. We love you

Yum, great color, can’t wait to try this! Beautiful pecans & pie plate! 🌻❤️🌺
I haven't heard of anyone using double pie crust before. Certainly will give this a try. HUM YUMMY!
Hi Tammy and Chris, pecan pie is a perfect dessert for the holidays and yours looks delicious Tammy. Thanks for sharing your recipes. 🙂❤️
I’ll definitely try this. Thank you for the flour tip! 🎄
My Favorite Christmas Pie!!!🎄😋
Thanks for the tip about the bake times and the flour! Sometimes mine don’t set up like I want them too. I’m gonna be a pro now!
I'm with you Tammy! Cant stand a stingy pie! Depending on my pie plate, I'll double at least half again the filling. I want filling all the way to the top. Such a pretty pie.
This looks great. I’m intrigued by the addition of the Coca Cola. It did look like a lot of crust to pie ratio though. Maybe the pie pan was bigger.
it's better if you use Mexican Coca cola like we have here in Texas because it's made with cane sugar not corn syrup
Im diabetic and this just made my sugar levels go to infinity and beyond
I love coca-cola!!! I love 💕 anything made with it! Delicious!!!😋
I cook mine at 425 for 10 minutes to brown that bottom crust… then turn it down to 325 for 50 minutes. So good.
Nicest bag of pecans, I ever did see! My favorite :)

Something I was taught-just very lightly toss the pecans in a little flour…shake off excess…then your pecans will actually layer when done. It works!
The pie was beautiful! Tammy I sure would love to see you make some gingerbread for the holiday season❤
I've made the pecan pie recipe that's on the Karo Syrup label many times, but I'm looking forward to making this one!
Thanks Tammy, I want to make this Coca-Cola Peacan Pie 🥧 for my Husband!😊❤🙏

Looks wonderful Tammy! Do you make a chocolate pecan pie?...asking for my hubby.
Not yet
Get those Mexican cokes with real sugar in them.
Love the vintage Santa card! And his pie looks scrumptious!

Nothing better than a slice of pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum! Yum!

It is a little less sweet than the regular recipe and is lighterand I think the pecans are more the feature!
I'm a diabetic, this would be my heaven and hell in one bite! It looks so good🥰
I used to have a recipe for a sugar free version. I will be glad to go my storage and search for it. If you are interested.
That's about the best looking Pecan Pie that I've ever seen. Gonna have to make one just like it. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to y'all.
You would be surprise the recipes that have coke a really, really good one is onions that you cook in butter and when they turn translucent you start adding coke. Great on hot dogs and burgers.
Shouldn't you beat those eggs BEFORE the Coke? Lol. I figured the Coke would really fizz up when you beat the eggs!
No just beat it good
Tammy that’s looks delicious. So very yummy. One of my favorites. Have a blessed week. Love ya
Thank you for sharing Tammy. This is a good recipe for dessert.
